Also, please do not get me started on the Senedd, 90% of those lot are a waste of tax payers money.
161 members for a country of our size, and they constantly keep making a mess of things.
I dont want Plaid or Reform. They are both as bad as each other.
Like I said God Help us.
Speaking generally, I know there's a pretty negative feel around the country over a number of issues, so I guess people will naturally look elsewhere with their voting intentions.
I would find it difficult to ever voting for reform. I have no allegiance to any party, and when Corbyn or Boris were leading their respective parties, I did not think either was a great choice to have as a potential prime minister.
Farage is way further down that list, in another county so to speak.
Maybe it's just a reflection of where we are that he is polling so well, but I hope it is just a teenage phase and not a realistic proposition.

The Senedd doesn't have 161 members either. It has 60 at present increasing to 96. Northern Ireland has 90 and doesn't have as many people living there as here.

The positives from here is that the more progressive parties (Plaid etc) are polling much higher in the 16-49 age bracket.
For me, the sooner we get some sort of PR into General Elections, so that people's votes really do count for something, it's pretty much a waste of time anyway.
People keep saying what a great democracy we have, no we don't, it just wastes people's votes and sometimes makes them vote 'negatively' rather than who they really want to vote for.
I accept that this might mean Reform would get more seats, but at least represent what people have voted for
I think you need to re-check.

All of you on here can think you are cool and pandering to the what you think is the normal on here, but people who are voting reform are just voting because they are fed up.
At least when the reform counts come in we will have a more accurate account of how many disgruntled people there are, and that does not make them any different to people on here who are voting for Plaid because they are disgruntled.
I am a very proud and passionate Welshman, I love my country and I love my heritage, but voting for Plaid will take Wales further away from where we need to be, unless you think we all need to be more Welsh and not diverse.
A part of the country that voted Brexit was always gonna end up voting for Reform in the end. Labour have been a facking flop just as most of us expected them to be, it’s not just Wales they’ve taken for granted. I wish London would fack them off too.

You can be fed up and not vote for Reform. The main parties in politics are doing a terrible job in general. There has been no progress in their way of thinking, or in generally the way we approach subjects such as the NHS, public utilities / services, immigration etc.
We just talk about spending more money, or having quotas which are unrealistic and mean little in the grand scheme of things.
Or give too much emphasis on slogans like 'Stop the boats', which just miss the real problems at hand.
There is a great opportunity for a party to come along, who dare I say doesn't need to be to the left or right (why do parties have to be one or the other, when most of us don't think that way), and treat politics and these issues in a grown-up away.

So, one of two things has happened here and I am hoping you will be able to enlighten us. Either:
1. You genuinely thought there were 161 members of the Senedd and didn't understand that the list you were looking at was all members ever elected, rather than a list of current members.
or
2. You knew you this to be the case and were deliberately spreading misinformation on the number of members.

I know all the devolved parliaments have some sort of PR, but it's really the GE that need it - one could argue why have different systems. I mean I know because the 2 big parties want to keep the status quo for one or the other, but we are one of the few countries left who does this, need to have a fairer democracy system before anything can change

Fair comment. It is a bit strange it's different.

I think you need to re-check.
Sorry, Hefn Davies died last month, so that is 160 members from 1999 to now.
Here you go, the internet is your friend for this one:-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_members_of_the_Senedd
Look at where they are representing, some areas have three or four people representing them, it's a waste of money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, one of two things has happened here and I am hoping you will be able to enlighten us. Either:
1. You genuinely thought there were 161 members of the Senedd and didn't understand that the list you were looking at was all members ever elected, rather than a list of current members.
or
2. You knew you this to be the case and were deliberately spreading misinformation on the number of members.

There's even a link within that link at the top for "6th Senedd"! That's why I think he surely must be on the wind up!
