Not possible. Social media will not highlight any positives they make anyway. You think Musk is going to allow support away from reform? Reform have won. I don’t think there is any debate on that. Question now is will they be in power for a long time? Decades?

I mean long term, not in this parliament.

I’d agree that it looks lost at the moment, and these solutions will take time to work.

I have now decided that all these parties are so out of touch, they dont even know polling stations in the area they're fighting for that they've claimed to live in for 10 years and claim to represent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Is it that surprising? I've lived in the same city for 20 years now. I'm not involved in local politics, but if I were, even if I was canvassing in a couple of square miles around my home, I wouldn't know all of the polling stations in that area. Or I might know where all the polling stations are without knowing which ones applied to a given address, since a lot of people live a similar distance from more than one. You might say they should have done their homework in expectation they might be asked this, but not knowing doesn't indicate a lack of familiarity with / interest in the local area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Strong disagree.

You're taught the answer to 5 x 5 in primary school. Basics.

If your trying to get votes in your area, you try to research the questions your local area might ask about your party.

If you're trying to sway votes in an area that's somewhat deprived, so fed up and disillusioned with politics that we need confirmation of the polling station in the area, you should know these things.

And yes it is surprising, my area is fairly close knit. There's two polling stations in my area, I just wanted to double check. If people wanting to represent my area don't know the two polling stations in my area on a day that matters to these people the most, what faith should I have?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you live close to the boundary where the polling stations will split the area?

I do get your point, it’s not good optics especially, but sometimes these things could be put down to some simple, yet understandable, errors.

Musk isn’t even backing Reform as they aren’t extreme enough and he doesn’t like Farage. He’s been backing Advance UK.

Darren - I think someone put it well on here. Reform to get in and struggle and then the likes of Musk push for reform to get someone even more extreme in like Robinson to replace him as leader and become the PM.

Reform have what 6 seats, Labour have 399 and the LibDems 72, Reform are riding high in the polls just now but it would take a phenomenal change in the national psyche for them to outperform everyone else. Reform have also taken over I think 10 councils so voters are getting the chance to see how they operate in power.

I think Reform, if there isn't any scandals (big ask) will do well at the expense of the Conservatives but enough to gain national power, highly debatable.

There was a documentary this week about the upcoming 60th anniversary of the drowning of Capel Celyn to provide water for Liverpool. We possibly wouldn't have a Senedd without that disgraceful episode and having a Senedd means this will not happen again. That's why it's deplorable IMO that Reform would even think of removing it.

Speaking generally, I know there's a pretty negative feel around the country over a number of issues, so I guess people will naturally look elsewhere with their voting intentions.

I would find it difficult to ever voting for reform. I have no allegiance to any party, and when Corbyn or Boris were leading their respective parties, I did not think either was a great choice to have as a potential prime minister.

Farage is way further down that list, in another county so to speak.

Maybe it's just a reflection of where we are that he is polling so well, but I hope it is just a teenage phase and not a realistic proposition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a fair reflection of my own thinking.

I would traditionally vote labour, but I don't really recognise the labour party any more. I don't like any of the current options.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What if Labour made a "documentary" full of lies and unevidenced claims and then illegally released it after being told by a court not to? Would that change your mind?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What has the fact that I think TR was correct in his assertion that Jamal wasn't a particularly nice kid, got to do with voting at a general election?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It shows that you will believe any unevidenced nonsense as long as it reinforces your beliefs so I assume that if Labour made some stupid claims that pander to you then you would vote for them in thay case.

The same way you believe Tommy Robinson's lies about a minority child, despite an actual court finding them to have no basis and that he was guilty of libel.
