If we get pumped away at Burnley then yes but like you say, one below his usual standards game in which we were unlucky to lose isn't the time to throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak and it's part of a professional footballers lot from time to time to have to wait it out to get their chance and as good as Tanaka and Bijol may be the players being chosen ahead of them don't deserve to lose their places so they'll just
have to wait it out.

I don't want players to be happy if they aren't getting game time, but they have to suck it up.

Struijk has always been good on the ball with a question mark defensively, I think he's done alright tbf so Bijol just has to be patient... Pascal was bit unlucky with the two deflections against the spuds.

If everyone is fit Tanaka, for me, was always likely to be used for certain home games only or as impact sub if chasing the game. Great at setting tempo and dictating the play in possession but does he have the physicality for the league? Time will tell, he struggled away from home in the champ last year, i felt.

Against better sides and set piece fc, perhaps we could play 3 centre backs. We have Bornaw also who will play play 20 mins all season at this rate.

I don't recall Tanaka struggling away last season. He was one of our best players

The likes of Bijol, Tanaka and others will get there chances in the coming months. I suspect Darlow didn't expect to get the game time he has, but due to injury to our supposed No1 keeper he got an opportunity and I believe has grasped it well.

It'll be the same for the others - they'll get there chances either through injury to incumbents, or through performances/results. Up to them to come in and prove they shouldn't have been left out.

The point of Bornauw is that if he has to play too much then we have had a bad time with injuries.

Think Tanaka should be winding his neck in a bit after the Bournemouth game. Had a chance to show why he should play more and managed to completely feck it.

Just opinions, he had a lot of game time and played in some of our best away performances, i just felt he struggled in the physical battles.

In my view he also looked sha**ed towards the end of the season when we had our blip. Cracking player when we're dominating possession, and works hard - just not sure he has the legs/physicality to be a regular PL starter in a team that has to give everything every week to compete. Just my take. Hope i'm wrong and happy we have him as an option.

I must have missed something with Struijk last game. Yes he had two attempts at blocks which unfortunately squirmed off him into the net but these things happen.

How many successful blocks has he made this season? Law of averages says at some point one will get a bad deflection. Two in one game, albeit the second was in atrocious conditions, is double bad luck.

Other than that I thought he did ok. My take on the game was that Gudmundson was below par and might have done better with their second goal. Bogle was also very quiet compared to previous home games I’ve watched.

Definitely a stick not twist for me unless we start shipping goals. In the end it’s in Farke though. He will know what everyone is capable of.
