if it was a natzi salute, then wait for ze germans to get here.

I am here.

anyone who thinks that was a 'natsi salute' needs to take a look at a history book....

holding a straight arm out is hardly the only part of a natsi salute

get a grip.

hippo, i usually have a lot of time for you, but on this one, i'm sorry but you're being ridiculous.

it wasn't even close to a natsi salute, and is a celebration he has done numerous times before and never a word has been uttered about it.

thre is no way on god's green earth that anyone could really be offended by that, except chelsea fans for the fact that we'd just scored.

"wumaniser, the only ones trying to reason here have been bunsen, zaphoed and me."

Repeatedly stating a flawed opinion isn't actually reasoning you know.

See this is where we disagree hippo. That salute is offensive. But I've raised my hand in a similar motion to get a taxi. There's a picture of Shearer with his hand in the air above. Do we strap players arms down now in case it might be construed as offensive? I don't think he was doing what you think he was doing. Had he done so I'd feel there was a case here, but I feel you're interpreting it wrong. And once it's open to interpretation, well I don't think there is a case to answer. Swearing is more clear cut, you say 'f off' or whatever, it's pretty clear. I would argue that Van Persie's celebration has far more in common with say that Shearer pose, than say a Di Canio celebration.

This is another PC police witchhunt. Since when did RVP become a nozi? What a bunch of idiots in the media

Maybe he was making Mertesacker feel at hom that was terrible from me but I just couldn't help myself....

seriously though.....do you expect a Dutchman to rein-act a salute from a party that occupied his homeland and killed 1000's of Dutch ???
