I've always had a lot of respect for Fabregas, and he will have my blessing even if he does leave this summer. I will curse Nasri every single day for being a of the highest order. I will never forgive him.
Maybe Barcelona are not able to afford Fabregas this year and he's just trying to sound nice
Or maybe he loves us!!!!!
Regarding Nasri - At first I was all "give him time, he'll sign" but as the days go on my love for Nasri is wavering
Of course has great affection for us, he is truly a world class player who we have been unable to surround with the right quality, thats why the best team in the world want him.
Barca thought he'd force a move but he wont do that. They'll just have to find a big fee that Cesc deserves.
i reckon wenger hypnotised him to say taht....
just kidding :D
i applaud this, a lot of respect for FAB, he knows what his worth and still has loyalty to us until that day comes.
Now Nasri ?????

The OP is absolutely spot on. I think too that Cesc learned his lesson from all what happend last year after the World Cup. I thought his emotions carried him away and the media used him to push a transfer to Barca through. He said today that that was a maybe a mistake but as I said: This guy has class on and off the field and I forgive.
Regarding the Nasri situation I find some of you a bit harsh with him. I think its fair enough that he want to get the best out of a new contract and I have a feeling that he really wants to stay with us.
Cesc is one of the few loyal players left in the world football. He knows whats right and wrong.
Unlike Nasri...
He knows we are not goin to pay 40m and we do not want to let a gem like thiago go anywhere. Cesc had no choice but to show love/respect/ affection whatever you call it. An act of desperation. We need rossi more than we need cesc. Keep your captain with you. He might win you somthing some time in the future.
He knows he will be leaving on a free at the end of his contract. Big signing on fee to make him secure in his old age and the chance to be the main man at Barca as Xavi and Iniesta will be on the wain.
Simples!
Sorry, but I've got to pull the OP up on something. Fabregas did NOT say that he is happy to stay at Arsenal; he said that he's happy at Arsenal. That's something completely different. It still means that he wants to move to Barca where, as we all know, he'll be even happier.
Just wanted to clear that up for you.
'Happy AT Arsenal' and 'Happy to stay at Arsenal'
That is hardly completely different.
Yeah, not sure why i even repsonsded normally to a bloke with wum in his name.

You also forgot this bit:
"You can never say never in this life as so many things happen that you can never predict".
And?
The main point he said was its in the hands of Wenger and the board. And once Fabregas refuses to push a transfer then its advantage Arsenal.
JHS of Arts...
You try talking any sense to Gooners and you get no where, mate! They cannot see any thing beyond their own noses.
Saying that you are happy where you are is NOT the same thing as saying that you are happy to STAY there. Fabregas has been very careful not to say that he intends to stay at AFC. And any Gooner who tries to tell me that if Fabregas was given the green light to move to Barca you wouldn't see his backside for dust would get my award for Blind Bat of the Year Award.

The main point of the article is that Fabregas today has made sure that its Arsenal that hold the cards. By going public with his love for the club he has made sure that Barca can't push him into a corner and tell him to go public about wanting to move. Fabregas has said he does not want a repeat of last summer so that means he is going to do nothing and let Wenger and the board decide if they want to sell or not.
Fabregas today has given us an extra year or more money. And either is better then what we could have had, if Cesc did not speak like he did today.
Ah. I see your reasoning, SSN8.
