Does he have a permanent shirt like van p?

I think he should have a temporary one that disintegrates during the second half.

Based on his performances last season, he is one of the first names on the team sheet. It will depend on the form and fitness of ramsey and arteta whether he slots straight back in. We will see our midfield rotated more when he is back.

Diaby better than Wilshere!?

That's rubbish. Diaby and Wilshere are about the same

Again Diaby we must not forget, on his day, he is even better than Jack

Hello.

Are you perhaps confusing Diaby with Johan Cruyff?

Jack is a automatic pick for me - assuming he's fit and in form.

You should have called you article - "How do we solve a problem like Jack?". It would appeal more to the Saturday evening TV crowd.

When Jack comes back our midfield three will be himself alongside Song and Rambo, IMO

We all know that Diaby is a very good and talented footballer, his biggest problem is consistency. my above statement does not mean he is better than Jack but you can argue that when he is inform, you cant drop him for jack.

I think dropping Arteta would be a bit disruptive as he has been giving Rambo the licence to attack more. Would you have Jack playing the deep role he was playing last season with Rambo remaining more advanced?

Arteta has played more passes per 90 mins than any player in the league so far and also has created more chances for us than any other player in the team. Dropping him just like that would be a silly thing to do. He also has an incredible wife who I want to see happy

How about Diaby then, when fit too, he stays on the bench?

I like having this problem, instead of
'everyone is injured or absolutely rubbish! when is the next transfer window? Wenger spend some frigging money why don't you'

How things change in a month

Wrap him in cotton wool and leave him a cupboard till Jan

posted on 7/11/11

He won't be back until around late Jan at the earliest, I believe. As we all know, a helluva lot can happen between now and then! Hopefully we will have the luxury of this headache as our midfield will stay fit, and be playing well. In reality though.........

chrisdgooner and MrTweedy.

It might seem harsh but lets be honest Jack is our best midfielder and put in amazing performances last season in the role Arteta is playing. I suppose there are slight difference to their games, Arteta is more conservative and will keep possession better. He is also a far bigger goal threat. Basically he is what Denilson should have been. Jack has a far greater passing range though and will create more chances. He also works better with Rambo from what I have seen of the few games they have played together.

Ramsey after a slow start is now starting to dictate midfields and is making some brilliant defense splitting passes. I think dropping him would damage us in an attacking sense.

All that being said, we have to remember Rambo is returning from a long term injury, Wilshere will be returning from a long term injury and Arteta himself is not exactly a stranger to injuries either so I am sure they will all get plenty of game time.

I don't have an issue bringing Jack back Batmanu was just wondering where......if Rambo plays then Jack will have to play deeper as he is more aware and will track runners in midfield.

Good problems to have though.

Agree with you Batmanu as well as chrisdgooner's response. Nice to have this problem and not have only denilson waiting in the wings like last season. Song, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta, even Benayoun along with Coquelin, Frimpong looks like some very promising midfield options

Also I know Diaby is not everybody's favorite but if he comes back into the team and manages to keep himself fit then he will be as Wenger says like a new signing. I really rate him to be honest. He just has something about him that none of our midfielders have and he will score a lot of goals too.

Diaby is inconsistent as hell but he has the ability to drive through the midfield powerfully and score goals. The guys got a lot of talent, would be fantastic if he can get his head screwed on finally.

You'll do with Jack what you always do with your 'quality midfielders' Sell them to Barca or Man City

posted on 7/11/11

I have to say that if anyone loses out in there I just don’t want it to be Arteta, he has done tremendously well. Let’s not write off Diaby, he might come back to steal the show because he surely has potentials.

posted on 7/11/11

Aggers who knows he might not be quality when he comes back. I suppose the fallback is that if the injury is ruined him and he turns to dross we could just flog him off to your lot for £100M+.

He has us there.

I'm so envious of Liverpool's midfield, it's truly a sight to behold.
