This Article has plenty of 1 stars for a reason......I just think certain spurs supporters are only happy if they are moaning .....I agree to a certain extent that Adebayor should be a little more clinical as he does miss some sitters at times but don't every striker? The guy has the highest Assist rate in our team so far this season and has 4 goals in his last 2 games, what more do you want? We have not lost a game with him and Parker playing. To think we had to put up with Crouchy last season and we finally have a decent target man who is actually a very good footballer and you still have something to moan about.....Astounding!!!!!

My point exactly Chronic. More to the point, two suggestions as we'd need to replace Ade and Pav.

OP is right re his poor finishing. In 07/08 when he scored 30 goals, well if we had somebody like David Villa playing up front for us he would have bagged 50, that's how many chances we were creating.

But Ade has more to his game than that, his technique is excellent, one of the best volleyers of the ball around, when he is up for it he is very energetic and gives even the best CBs a really tough time. He's one of the few strikers in England that knows how to play with his back to goal and bring others into the game (hence the improvements in Bale, Lennon, VDV this season).

Basically his positives outweigh his faults and he is a top class striker. The only reason I wouldn't sign him is because once he's earned his move to Spurs on a permanent basis he might go back to his old weighs of being the lazy he was with Cit eh and ourselves.

Chronic I couldn't imagine 'Arry wanting to do anything like that to any of his players when he will know had bad it feels in prison

He also has 6 assists...so thats 13 telling contributions in 10 games.

Over a season these stats would equal 23 assists 27 goals Good enough for me!

Not many teams will pay such sums, especially for a player who has a reputation for (a) causing problems (b) losing interest (c) lacking effort.

There is no certainty that anyone will offer him £150k a week. Maybe if Spurs struck a good deal with City on the fee, they could strike a deal on a basic plus bonuses tacking it to £100k if we achieve stuff (like rumoured for Luka).

Problem is if we start doing this for Ade then eveyone expects it.

i wld say,who else cld we get of his quality or better,that won't want similar wages.....?!
