So you are saying football fans are fickle.
Newsflash right there.

He's not younger than Lampard though.

I've never seen a manager turn into the hottest manager in world football as quick as this guy has, all within 24 hours!

No having a dig at Chelsea but i just think football has gone nuts and this is yet another "lets throw massive wads of cash" moment from Chelsea

He does have dreamy hair.

This is a gamble by chelsea IMO. This manager could turn out to be a very good appointment or end up like Scolari...

Just wonder if he can deal with the pressure? The media attention in England can soon make managers doubt their own credentials. He is going to have to be very confident of his own abilities.

Roman fell for his looks

He is young and will do what he's told by Roman ! so he's good signing i think.

Told to take a massive payoff and go elsewhere after a year in the job?

Chelsea's period of being Man Utd main challengers is over.

Look what he achieved with Porto last season. The Chelsea job might be a bit too early for him, who knows? But the guy is sure as hell a talented manager, far better than the so called top managers in England like Hughes, Allardyce and O'Neill that are always linked with top clubs. I think he will be a success at Chelsea, he is young a bright and if anybody will shake Chelsea up it will be him.

If he doesn't win the PL or CL then yes he will be looking for another job.

Roman doesn't like to wait he expects immediate return on his hundreds of millions spent. And i suppose rightly so !! spending that much you should really win things every year.

The enivitable plummet to being a mid-table club again starts now.

Roman is getting fed up of his toy

Allardyce? What top jobs has he ever been linked with?

Batman talking sense.
But you'll have to leave this thread for more of it

I'm very happy he went to Chelsea.

If you got him then Fergie could retire and we'd have problems for decades.

I'm still hoping you end up with Moyes or some other mediocre manager.

Villas Boas is class.

he linked himself with Real Madrid once

And you'd not heard of him before yesterday i'd put money on.

Despite you coming back saying you've followed him for years. (being on 33 that's unlikely)

Instead we'll keep Fergie, most likely give Mourinho his dream job when the Sir does give it up and then you'll still be forked.

Redconn I'm sure he linked himself to Inter, Chelsea & us (not Pool) in the same interview.

he was my top choice to replace Roy. Yes, even over Kenny.
