Carrick, has been very good from about March 2011, I'll admit I was one to slate Carrick, purely because of his form in 07/08 in comparison to the following 18 months/ 2 years was clearly not as good.
Nobody can tell me his form over the last 3/4 weeks was the same as the previous 2 seasons, because he was clearly not doing the same things.
Weather it was a tactical decision from Fergy, or the lads confidence (which i think it was) he has turned a corner and now gets stuck in, makes runs, passes forwards, has shots ect.
Do you lot really think i give a **** if you throw petty names my way ?
You can all sit in the comfort of your little rooms and sledge away ....
Picking out individual moments in players careers to back up statements is trivial at best ..
The bottom line is ...one swallow dont make a summer .. and a few above average performances by Carrick and all of a sudden hes been brilliant for years is utter tosh.
If i could be bothered .. and frankly i cannot, because trying to prove certain people wrong is beyond futile.... i could go through a load of threads on here and find posts where each and everyone of you probably lambasting Carrick over the last few years.
Mark my words .. Carrick had his chances ... more than most .. but Fergie will finally replace him next season with someone half decent ...
You lot make out United have been brilliant for years now ...but the last 2-3 years has seen United dish out average football ... and its only the fact Liverpool blew it, Chelsea have gone backwards and Arsenal have totally lost their bearings that has allowed United to somehow win titles.
The best football we have played over the last 3 years was at the start of the season ... and Carrick was nowhere to be seen.
The only reason Carrick even gets a look in nowadays is because Cleverley gets injured and Fergie wont let go of old stagers like Giggs, Park and Scholes

It is also full of arsewipes who know nothing about football, and that would be you sonny.
Carrick is one of our best players. I doubt scholes would have come back if we had no one like carrick. He evens say himself that carrick is the Rolls royce of our team.

We have no one else like him, closest to him is cleverly but hes not that defensive as carrick has all the quality required to be a top midfielder.
He has vision, he has high pass completion rate, he can make small passes long passes and can normally when given a chance guide the ball in but thats not his game in terms of scoring as he puts the ball to our wingers. Look at carrick pass against chelsea to giggs where rooney scored. Exquisite pass.
Anyway I never know why carrick gets overlooked in the england team but its good news for man utd though as he is always fit.
Significantly, Carrick was missing for four of the five games United have lost this season, against Manchester City, Basle, Crystal Palace and Blackburn

Why do you think SAF had him in the first XI? Just for a laugh. Why did SAF extend his contract? Because just maybe he had earned it by doing what SAF asks on the field of play
He's top quality. SAF thinks so and he knows more than you what he wants him to do

Carrick was poor last season and maybe the season before. I thought Fletcher and Anderson should be our first choice this season but having seen them play together, well, opinions change.
