Learn to count. Six figures refers to a number between 100,000 and 999,999.

Have another look, count the figures, and when you're ready, tell me who we could buy for a 'six figure' sum.

Tottenham have brought it on themselves. They had no reasonable right to want to move to east London in the first place. Always on the look out for something for nothing.

I never thought of Spurs will get legal aid taking cases to the High Court.

Bookie, I see you found the smilies feature. Unfortunately, I don't understand the gibberish you spouted before hand.

Myhammers

The issue with the judicial review isn't a north London / east London thing. It's about ensuring that the selection process was fair, getting a clearer picture of why the outcome was as it was and seeking assurances that a) you pay back every penny of the loans you'll receive and b) for the length of your tenure in the OS, the running track stays.

The sad thing is, your argument is contradicted by the fact that West Ham are happy to move into Orient territory. And then, in your struggle to fill the stadium, your plan to slash prices which will hugely affect Orient's ability to survive. Hypocrites, the lot of you.

The fact is Orient are in different borough! Next...

Stupid point Bookie.

If Tesco opened a store across the road from a corner shop, but one was in Newham and the other in Waltham Forest, the cornershop still goes out of business, irrespective of arbitrary 'borough' boundaries between them.

the rules state that no club are allowed to move within a certain distance of another established club , this seems to be completely ignored

They wanted a team to use the stadium and they didn't want to appear like fools who break previous promises so once WHU said they would keep the running track then end of story WHU get the ground

If the bids had been the other way round and Spurs were the ones to say that they would keep the track and WHU said they would pull it down ...Who would have won the bid then?????

King arry: But what has this got to do with Tottenham? Have they all of a sudden taken on the role of seeking justice for other clubs and taxpayers?
Why did no other club get involved, such as Liverpool. Or Arsenal? Or Napoli?

One more fact is Orient are not originally from Brisbane road.

The funny thing Spurs argued in the court is 'Newham was “irrational” and discriminated against Spurs by not offering them a loan'..

That has to be the stupidest comment I've seen on here for months ....My estimation of you has just plummeted

If that is the case then Orient will get compensation or out of court settlement (which is not common for Irons ) and it's not the matter Spurs ( fans) should involve in or is there any hidden advantage in this battle.

Who will pay your solicitors fees? God in Bahamas?

Myhammers, we are involved because our board want to move to the OS. I wouldn't be against it. It's less than 5 miles from WHL (other clubs have moved as far) has excellent transport links, would be hundreds of millions of pounds cheaper than the Northumberland Park redevelopment and would offer our well supported club, currently constrained by a small stadium, the opportunity to increase revenue.

With that said, the argument about north/east London does not cut it due to West Ham's hypocrisy over the plight of Orient, as I explained above.

To the spurs fans who are dead set against the move, that's fine, but surely we at least deserve to recoup some of our investment in bidding if the process want fair and open.

squid: My point is that King arry, like most Spurs fans, believes it's nothing to do with a north London club wanting to move to east London. Rather, it's simply to do with Tottenham wanting to see taxpayers' money is properly spent and the rules of the selection process being fair.
In other words, Tottenham's motives have nothing to do with self-interest and are purely unselfish.
I then ask the question why it was them that decided to take up the mantle of justice and noone else? Of all the clubs all over the world, it had to be the one in the next borough to us. What a coincidence!
Now do you get it?

How do you answer a question which makes no sense and you have no idea if it's actually a question

maybe we'll have a whip round son will we? you got any of your benefit cheque left?

"we are involved because our board want to move to the OS" - exactly. So back to my original question of why Tottenham should want to move to east London in the first place??

posted on 25/6/11

Myhammers, at no point did I say there was no self interest on the part of Spurs. Remember the club you bid against? Yeah, that was us, so of course we are interested.

Daniel Levy deems the explanation of the OS bidding process outcome insufficient/unclear and has every right to challenge it.

Spurs and Orient have always had a very good working relationship , we used to play our reserve games there and we have made MANY loan signings to them and many Spurs fans do go to watch Orient when Spurs were not playing

I'll have to use one of the phrases from the High Court judgement.

“Ultimately I have taken the view that the grounds advanced are more the product of legal ingenuity than of substance.”

Myhammers, why should West Ham want to move into Orient's back yard?

Same question to you, same point, same answer: the stadium.

Somehow a self funded viable bid, which included an athletics legacy and community projects was turned down in favour of one stuffed full of government loans and promises to keep a running track that will mean the stadium is at best a compromise for you, from a club that does not have the support to consistently fill it.

Bookie...........................................Great, not only is your English & Grammar poor but so is your understanding of figures!

Six figures is £100,000 or more, not millions!!! Count the figures, when it gets to seven then the millions start!

You are not a very clever WUM are you?
