myhammers.......................................agree there, however with the financial problems you currently have & with key players leaving.................Parker, Cole, Upson, Ba, Green etc.

If you take into account the 92 clubs in the leagues as a whole, then WHU being only one of them, I would say that was a small minority too.

The bookies will only give odds when the betting indicates things, if you look at the bookies over the past 5 years, then they only got TWO teams correct in guessing who would get automatic promotion...........................Newcastle & Sunderland.

They had you as favourites in 2004/05 and you only got up via the playoffs...................................Sheffield United were promoted in 2006 & are now in League 1.

I would take nothing for granted, if you do not have the resources or financial clout it is difficult to get back up......................

Hmmm It's just been on the news that a woman has been suspended from the Olympic committee after it was found that she was working for W.H.U at the time of the Stadium bidding

Wonder if there are anymore little gems like that to come out Squid?

Apparently they are saying she has had nothing to do with the processing of the bid, if that is the case why suspend her???

Even if she's nothing to do with the bid , you can bet she was whispering in the ears of those that were

geniusgreaves: I don't think any West Ham fans are taking for granted that we will go up. When we were relegated in 2003 (with a much better squad, but another very poor manager), all our good players were sold. Yet we still made both play-off finals.
We know what this league is about and what it takes to get out of it.

That said, I have repeatedly stressed that no real assessment can be made of our chances until the transfer window has closed.

Those whispers will not stand in the High Court.

Whatever the reason(s) Spurs will not get OS other than pay legal cost to Newham and OLPC.

"Whatever the reason(s) Spurs will not get OS other than pay legal cost to Newham and OLPC."

Is that supposed to make sense?

Perhaps the OS isn't the taget after all.

Northumberland Development Project - Club submits bid to Regional Growth Fund (RGF)
Chairman Daniel Levy said, "The NDP plans represent sport-led regeneration, anchored by our proposed new stadium. It would directly create thousands of new, private sector jobs, attract millions of pounds of additional expenditure in the local economy and lever further private sector investment into the area. As importantly, it would also protect the hundreds of current Club jobs, its existing economic impact and the valuable work of the Club's charitable Foundation in the local communities, by enabling us to stay in our current location.

"We are one of the few large private sector employers in the Borough and the NDP is currently the sole significant proposed scheme for creating sustainable private sector jobs. Quite simply the Club is the only private entity looking to invest, on this scale, in the Borough and reverse the decline of decades of under-investment."

It's amazing how Tottenham fans will so readily entertain wild conspiracy theories, yet refuse time and again to accept plain (albeit, painful) facts.
I'm beginning to wonder if Levy has more sense than all you fans put together.

Well it's quite obvious he has more sense than you.

....
He has a first class honours degree from Cambridge university, whereas my law degree is a 2:2. Plus he is an accomplished businessman. So yes, I would say he has got more sense than me.

myhammers,

============================

Yeah you know just how to get out of the league, with your different owners, different players & different manager.

Thats like saying, i won the lottery last week with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, so i'm bound to win it this week too.

Just face it mhammers, West Ham are out of top flight football for good.

West Ham are out of top flight football for good.

For a brief period, i mean for a year. I said in the past, i'll say it again. West Ham will move into the OS irrespective of the league.
