Lager is not even a true beer, thats why its called lager and not beer.

This country has many great beers including bitter and ale up and down the land. None of this poncy gassy pisswater that you lot drink.

As the pub landlord says....
All hail the ale.

Rarely have I come across a post I agreed with so much! Honestly, when I read this I almost spat out my mouthful Fosters in surprise.

have you tried it? i remember we even started singing "super boc, superstar, get's your more p...ed than stella artois", to the tune of 'jesus christ superstar'.

I live near Lisbon and Super Bock is my favourite of the two main beers here (the other being Sagres). Super Bock is definitely stronger!

I'm a man of taste so I prefer ale, though there are a handful of decent lagers out there.

I recommend: Leffe (my favourite) Timothy Taylor's Landlord (as mentioned earlier) Adnams Broardside, Ruddles County, Marstons Double Drop, Abbot Ale, Duval, Black Sheep, Bombadier, Peroni, Carlsberg Export, Becks, San Miguel, Stella Artois, and Stella Artois Cidre.

I would personally steer well clear of Fosters, Budweiser and Carlsberg.

Superbok is indeed a top beer

On the Azores you can get a lager called Especial - very good.
On Madeira the local one is called Coral - again, very good.
But the top BEER is Moorhouses - Pendle Witches Brew, and Purple Moose - Dark Side of the Moose
