Also don’t know how you can say this. Today it’s mainly myself and Biggish defending Lampard and we both also defended Sarri. Don’t think anyone here will argue that Lampard is perfect or without fault, same as with Sarri.

For me it’s just that two games into a new season is too early to be ringing alarm bells.

I'm just looking at how he's been since the start and looking for improvements. Not calling for his head but you can stick your head in the sand until Jan or whenever you've decided to draw the line. It will apparent far sooner if he is capable of improving a side with quite frankly very very good players who should be enjoying their football. Not looking like the robot from Rocky IV.

Even if the results aren't what we want every time i want it to be because we gave it real go and just didn't work out. Not that we held back in hopes of nicking a goal like some lower table club.

Last season the criticism of Lampard was that he was far too hung ho. That he committed midfield players too far up the pitch and left the back line exposed. Now it's that he is not hung ho enough? Against Liverpool of all teams?

I've already stated liverpool aren't at full strength and it was known...yet we still played it far too safe. The team selection sucked too.

Npe do you expect all those issues you mentioned to be fixed in two games when we’re lacking sharpness, have several new signings and several injuries?

Your worries are based on last season which is fair enough but we’ve played two games so it’s a bit pointless to start worrying that this entire season will be the same as last. We haven’t seen anywhere near enough to be concerned about repeating last season.

And as I’ve said already we’ve looked better defensively and from set pieces than we did most of last season.

leeds showed that they were fragile defensively and we got them with only one recognized CB. They weren't moving the ball as nice as the previous season.

And yes, Werner was getting chances because Fabinho wasn't playing Werner as well as a CB would.

Yep, let's quit. You can have my head and Frank'sn a pole on Jan or whenever, but not before.

I also don’t really get the Leeds comparison. Just because Liverpool have one below par game means that’s their new level? They were almost certainly not going to be that bad twice in a row, so our game was never going to pan out like Leeds’ game did.

Can we include the preseason game too then?

I want Lampard to do well. He gets a full season from me even if we are 8th on boxing day.
