Yeah Sutton hates us. Probably because he was embarrassingly bad for us. If you didn't see his time here then you dodged a bullet.

Can't think of any before. We signed him for £10 million which was a a lot of money in 1999. Probably close to £80 million + in today's money

I just googled it. £10M from 1999 is worth £19.2M today. Although the cost of players (particularly strikers) skyrocketed since then.

They just signed him for £15m ffs. One decent season shouldn’t increase his price by that much, especially after having 2 poor seasons.
