Good result, Champions league qualification gained. 5 good acquisitions GK, CB, LB, LW and striker and I see no reason why we can't push on

I agree. It is crazy though that we’ve spent as much money as we have, and we still need another 5 top quality players.

Would agree

Problem was it was the same story last season and look what we got

But you are 100% correct if we can fill some of these gaps.

And if the Enzo stories are true and we can fleece RM for say 130-150million, I would potentially take it, although Enzo has done much better this season I don't really see him as a prem midfielder, and personally feel he can be replaced easily.

being in the CL i think massively helps now in what we can charge for some players if people come a knocking

🗣 Enzo Maresca: "They grow a lot as a team and a player and they showed how good they are today.

I hope so, we brought this club where it has to be. We finished sixth last year and most of the time, they forget that."

Enzo is an interesting one. He’s had a pretty good and consistent season. He lacks pace, and physicality, but he’s very tactically astute. Yes, we could replace him, but we don’t really need to. I’d keep hold of him.

Problem is if you look at who we are linked to its James TTrafford, the Burnely goalie, Jamie Gittens from Dortmund and Liam Delap from Ipswich.

These are all talented prospects but they aren't going to immediately improve us next season beyond providing depth.

They're Clearlake "investments" not players that will immediately elevate us.

Enzo Maresca on the importance of winning the Conference League final:

"We were in four competitions at the start of the season. Today we finished in Champions League and if we are able to win on Wednesday, then we can say it has been a very good season."

In priciple Blue I agree, but for me it would depend on the money. Anything over 150 and I would bite their hands off. You are correct we don't need to sell/replace, but for 70 million I think we find someone much better suited to us and the prem

It does initially feel like the purchases might not be what we want for sure. Just hope Enzo M is able to convince the fooking khunts in contr..........so sporting directors we need a couple of mature heads in the team, because although its nice to see James back, is he a starter if he isn't able to play RB? IMO he shouldn't be, Lavia, Moises et al have been proven to be better. I like James sow would love to be proven wrong, but as just mentioned above he's not the same player

Enzo Maresca: "The doubt was from outside. They were saying that we are too young, we are not good enough... unfortunately for them, they have all been wrong."

True.
If we go for Kobel, Guehi, Kerkez, Adeyemi/ Leao/ Sane and Osimhen then that would really transform us.

I think he still provides value atm in the squad and he’s worth a starting spot over how Gusto has played in this side and we want Caicedo in CM

🗣 Enzo Maresca: "The players, they show how good they are, the effort they have been.

12th two years ago, sixth last year and fourth this season. With probably the youngest squad in the history of the Premier League. So, very happy."

Great outcome, but I find little enjoyment watching our style of football.I hope that will change next season.
