Caicedo could find himself there if he has 4 more seasons like the one just gone

Yeah I'd have Kante ahead of Essien and Makelele.

From the current lot I have Caicedo and Palmer to make it.

Caicedo's brilliant but needs 3-4 more years at that level and a Champions League and PL title to catch up with Kante imo.

Palmer has to make sure that his slump was a one-off and give at least 3-4 more top level seasons and win us big trophies before going to Madrid/Barca for him to enter conversation with the likes of Lampard and Hazard for me.

Is longevity important? As fit pre injury Essien has got to be in the discussion

Ivanovic is easily our best ever right back. I see people putting Azpi in their all time XI's when he had his standout seasons playing LB and CB.

I think Azpi performing well in all three positions just trump's Brana and gets my vote at RB. I would never say that to Brana's face though

I reckon 3rd hoping for 2nd. A domestic cup would be nice and at least a quarter final of the CL.
I expect Liverpool to win the league but not as easy as people suggest. I wouldn't be surprised if the top4 will all be within 5 points at the end of the season.

If we sign Xavi Simons then I'll be quite a bit more confident about our chances. As improved as our attack is I think that there's just one missing ingredient and I think he could be it.

As things stand I think we're on course to finish a much closer to the top 3rd or 4th. With the addition of Simons I think you can increase that to maybe 2nd/3rd if he's as good as he looks for Leipzig.

Still some areas of concern like GK but think we have to accept that Sanchez will be first choice next season.
