I like to expose my face to the spring rays of the sun, I like to gently stroke meadow flowers instead of plucking them. I like to listen to the silence for a long time, watch the sunrise, talk to animals, even if they don’t understand my speech. Sometimes I like to just not think about anything. In spite of this, I like to think long and hard, reflect, imagine different situations in my head.

Hollywood star Johnny Depp has appeared on stage in Yorkshire just days after a jury began deliberating in a defamation trial in the US involving the actor.

Mr Depp joined guitarist Jeff Beck's European tour to play guitar and sing at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday night.

Shocked music fans shared the news on social media.

Mr Beck's website said: "The musical soulmates have been working behind-the-scenes for the past several years on new music."

A jury started its deliberations on Friday following a six-week trial in Virginia involving Mr Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Mr Depp, 58, sued Ms Heard for $50m (£40m) for an article she wrote in which she claimed to be an abuse victim. Ms Heard, 36, counter-sued for $100m.

Colombia's next president will be a choice between a former leftist rebel and a man dubbed the country's Trump after Sunday's first round of voting.

Gustavo Petro, a former mayor of the capital Bogotá as well as an ex-militant, topped the poll as expected, taking around 40% of the vote.

But Rodolfo Hernández came second despite opinion polls favouring conservative Federico Gutiérrez.

Mr Hernández and Mr Petro will face off in the second round on 19 June.

If Mr Petro, 62, wins he will be the first left-wing president in the country's history. He has promised to fix the country's deep inequalities and switch its reliance on fossil fuels to clean technology.

The unexpected result for Mr Hernández, a 77-year-old construction magnate with a populist touch reminiscent of the US's ex-President Donald Trump, marks an upset for the traditional right.

Emma Raducanu has brought forward the start of her grass-court season and will play in June's Nottingham Open.

The 19-year-old was set to make her first appearance in front of a British crowd since winning the US Open at the Birmingham Classic, but has now added Nottingham to her calendar.

Raducanu's clay court-swing came to an end when she lost in the French Open second round on Wednesday.

Dan Evans will also play in Nottingham, with the tournament starting on 6 June.

Raducanu reached the Wimbledon fourth round in 2021 and will once again use Nottingham - which was her first WTA Tour event last year - as preparation for the Grand Slam.

The world number 12 plans to follow Nottingham with another WTA 250 event in Birmingham starting on 13 June.

Raducanu, who is currently without a full-time coach after recently splitting with German Torben Beltz, said: "I'm excited to return to Nottingham and it will be a great opportunity to play in front of British crowds for the first time this year."

Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough says he hopes his new international call-ups "are here to stay".

Uncapped quartet Brodie Spencer, Shea Charles, Conor McMenamin and Charlie McCann are in the squad for June's Nations League games.

Northern Ireland are missing a number of key men, including Stuart Dallas, Craig Cathcart and Josh Magennis.

"They wouldn't be here if we didn't think they were ready for it," said Baraclough of the four players.

Northern Ireland host Greece on Thursday in the first of four Nations League games in the space of 10 days.

The Greensill scandal is a political controversy in the United Kingdom related to lobbying activities on behalf of financial services company Greensill Capital. It implicated former Prime Minister David Cameron, former Cabinet Secretary Lord Heywood and several other civil servants, and occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.

First reported by the Financial Times and The Sunday Times, it arose from the insolvency of the supply chain financing firm Greensill Capital in March 2021, first reported by The Wall Street Journal. Reports emerged that Cameron had lobbied Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak in 2020 to change rules in order to allow Greensill to join the Covid Corporate Financing Facility, a government loan scheme that was initiated to support companies during the pandemic-related economic recession.

A Cabinet Office inquiry found Lord Heywood to be primarily responsible for Lex Greensill being given a role in government and access into 10 Downing Street. That inquiry and two other separate official inquiries found that Cameron had not broken any lobbying rules or acted unlawfully in relation to his Greensill lobbying activities.

The 2002 FIFA World Cup was the 17th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national football teams organized by FIFA. It was held from 31 May to 30 June 2002 at sites in South Korea and Japan, with its final match hosted by Japan at International Stadium in Yokohama.

A field of 32 teams qualified for this World Cup, which was the first to be held in Asia, the first to be held outside of the Americas or Europe, as well as the first to be jointly-hosted by more than one nation. China, Ecuador, Senegal, and Slovenia made their World Cup debuts.

The tournament had several upsets and surprise results, which included the defending champions France being eliminated in the group stage after earning a single point and second favourites Argentina also being eliminated in the group stage. South Korea controversially managed to reach the semi-finals, beating Portugal, Italy and Spain en route, thus becoming the first and only team from outside Europe and the Americas to reach the last four of a World Cup. However, the most potent team at the tournament, Brazil, prevailed, winning the final against Germany 2–0, making them the first and only country to have won the World Cup five times. The victory qualified Brazil for the 2003 and subsequently 2005 FIFA Confederations Cups, its fourth and fifth Confederations Cup appearance in a row. In the third place play-off match against South Korea, Turkey won 3–2, taking third place in only their second ever FIFA World Cup, and scored the fastest goal in the FIFA World Cup history (10.8 seconds after kick-off).

The 2002 World Cup was also the last one to use the golden goal rule.
