Another thing to consider is gaming isn't evolving at the rate it used to. If you go back to like 1991 the NES was one of, if not the most popular console at the time. By 1999 we had the dreamcast come out which was a MAJOR upgrade. That's a really short time for such drastic improvement. For the last few generations we haven't really seen too many new major innovations.

The US envoy on climate change John Kerry has warned that the war in Ukraine must not be used as an excuse to prolong global reliance on coal.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Kerry criticised a number of large countries for not living up to the promises they made at the COP26 climate summit.

Climate diplomats meet again today in Bonn amid new, energy security worries.

If countries extend their reliance on coal in response to the war, then "we are cooked," Mr Kerry said.

Vice-captain James Milner has agreed a new one-year deal that will keep him at Liverpool for an eighth season.

The former England midfielder, 36, joined Liverpool on a free transfer in 2015 after leaving Manchester City.

He has made 289 appearances for the Reds and has won six major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

It is understood Milner has accepted a contract with significantly reduced terms in order to remain at Anfield.

"I'm very pleased to be staying for another season," Milner said.

"I have never taken playing for this club for granted and I never will."

Milner, who would have been out of contract at the end of the month, had offers from at least one Premier League club and two from overseas but has chosen to stay with the Reds on a new deal that runs until the summer of 2023.

The move to retain Milner was driven by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who did not want to lose his influence in the squad and versatility on the pitch.

Cardiff City are stepping up their efforts to pull off the improbable signing of Wales captain Gareth Bale.

Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman has flown into the United Kingdom to lead negotiations.

Bale, 32, is available on a free transfer having left Real Madrid after nine years in Spain, during which he won five Champions League titles.

On Sunday, his deflected free-kick secured Wales' 1-0 win over Ukraine and a place at the World Cup in Qatar.

A return to Tottenham or a move to a Major League Soccer club in the United States have also been mooted as possible options as Bale looks to round off his stellar career.

But Championship club Cardiff are also in the picture.

A British journalist and a Brazilian indigenous expert have gone missing in a remote area of the Amazon rainforest.

Dom Phillips, a regular contributor to the Guardian newspaper in Brazil, was last seen in the Javari region, Amazonas state at the weekend.

He was travelling the area with Bruno Pereira while researching a book. The two had received threats days before, say indigenous groups.

Federal police and navy are searching for the two in the remote region.

Mr Phillips, 57, has written extensively on the Amazon and has lived in Brazil for over a decade.

Mr Pereira, who is currently on leave from his post with the government's indigenous affairs agency Funai, is an expert on isolated tribes in the Amazon.

The two had been in the district for about a week and had travelled by boat to Jaburu lake on Friday.

They were then expected to return to Atalaia do Norte city on Sunday afternoon, according to the Union of Indigenous Organizations of the Javari Valley (UNIVAJA) and the Observatory for the Human Rights of Isolated and Recently Contacted Indigenous Peoples (OPI). But the pair never arrived.

"born or originating in a particular place," 1640s, from Late Latin indigenus "born in a country, native," from Latin indigena "sprung from the land, native," as a noun, "a native," literally "in-born," or "born in (a place)," from Old Latin indu (prep.) "in, within" + gignere (perfective genui) "to beget, produce," from PIE root *gene- "give birth, beget," with derivatives referring to procreation and familial and tribal groups.

Great cheese, sullen grumpy service

Tried a couple cheeses and bought them. Would have tried more and bought more but the lady behind the counter convinced us to leave. She’s very unhappy and seems intent to let everyone know.
