A lot if Spurs fans biggest issue, imo, is that they're under the illusion that they're an elite club so when they do okay for a few games it's very much 'Look at us, we're a big club like you'.

Trouble is that they're not an elite club so they just look silly.

Throw in the fact that a lot of people from London are loud, obnoxious belIends and you get some 'big personalities' who shout a lot online.

I don't mind that as it's worth every minute when the Spursiness inevitably starts. They're mostly a joke fan base that provides qualify entertainment for actual big clubs.

I can see how you'd come to that conclusion if you only go off ja606. But having lived in London for a couple of decades and played football a lot, I've met a lot of Spurs fans and they're generally pretty sound in my experience. About as far from the arrogant 'look at me' as you can get, more gallows humour end of the spectrum.

But I guess that could probably be said for the majority of fan bases on here.

Webbs came out and said if the ref sent him off it wouldnt have overturned it and basically Kovacic was lucky not to be sent off on 2 different occasions, one VAR not sending Oliver to the screen on the first and 2nd Oliver being far too lenient because hes on a yellow already and not giving him a 2nd. He said Oliver will be disappointed on his decision not to 2nd yellow. But personally i think he'd be more disappointed VAR didnt ask him to go the the monitor for the first.

Why wasn't he sent to the screen, if VAR think its orange and could go either way, atleast send the man to have a look at it. Keep it as his decision but let him have a better look with the technology on hand.

You hear commentators say a lot if a refs sent to the screen by VAR its rereffing the game, but we've seen Oliver stick with his own original decision after being sent to it before so thats nonsense.

A simple look Oli we think this is an orange could go either way but you should have a look at it again. Least they could facking do.

i get its subjective but on such a key decision lets make sure hes had the best possible look at it and if he sticks with hisi original decision fair enough its subjective but at least hes had a good look.

clear and obvious is the problem and stupid. Its not overturning anything its giving the ref the required help on making important decisions but ultimately its sitll his decision. Just give him the replays if its an important decision even if its subjective let him have all the info and then decide himself. Its its still the same as his initial so be it but atleast hes seen all the info.

Apparently Xabi Alonso has a release clause in his contract that means he can join any of his former clubs as manager.

Considering how good Spanish midfielders are as managers, I’ll take it!
