Definitely looks like we’ve lost Jota for most of the season now which sucks.

Great result that, 4-1 at Brentford is brilliant

It's quite remarkable how well we're doing this season despite replacing the entire midfield in summer, being facked over by refs, a ton of injuries and going up against a state-owned financially doped juggernaut.

Thomas Frank is Tony Pulis 2. The tactics is all about winning free kicks and long balls in the box. I don't want that guy at Liverpool. De Zerbi has similar quality of players and they play much better football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I’m going to assume you don’t watch Brentford much because Frank is definitely not Pulis’esk and Brentford don’t routinely play as you describe.

They play that way against us because it represents their best shot at a result. He’d have to be out of his mind to go toe-to-toe with us. Under normal circumstances they’re high press, high energy, width from the FBs and pacey forwards (albeit without Mbeumo, less so).

I don’t want Frank as our manager either, he needs a bigger club before getting a top job imo, but the level of disrespect thrown at Brentford from fans of big clubs is crazy. They’re a brilliantly run club and what they’ve achieved is fantastic.

I really hated playing against Brentford today, they were overly physical, diving around all over the place trying to get set pieces and I was glad we ended up hammering them.

Doesn’t detract from the fact they are a superbly run club with a very good manager and some excellent players. Just glad we only play them twice a season

Great win but so many casualties today, so frustrating.

How fvcking good is Conor Bradley though, looks like we have another Trent here.

How good was it to not worry about a weak defensive right back today? Trent is amazing but a lazy defender and he can finally migrate to midfield. Bradley starts.

Yep, I’d have him ahead of Trent at right back in any game. Time for Trent to move into MF.

Looks like he has a very high ceiling, he’s not overawed at all stepping into Trent’s shoes. Got to wary of over hyping him though, still a chance he’ll have a dip at some point, especially if he’s overplayed.

That’s the worry for me this season. Next 5 games are in 4 different competitions. Games coming fastest when our squad is thinner than any point this season, players are very likely to burn out.

Brilliant performance today. We basically beat Brentford at their own game

I have watched them against all the big clubs and they played route one football. Brentford were relying on throw ins against City ffs. I have never seen Brighton adapt to an opposition under De Zerbi.
Moyes played years of the same tactics at Everton and when he had to adapt to a big club, his tactic was spamming the opposition with 1001 crosses. Let him manage West Ham or Newcastle first.

Was thinking this. Three of our goals came from long balls over the top. There's a physicality to this side which was missing last season.

It was criminal that Chelsea didn't win that game but nice little favour nonetheless.

I could watch Nunez’s goal 100 times and not get bored. It was everything that’s been his weakness so far. He had loads of time and finally didn’t panic. Looked up, made a decision and as cool a finish as you’ll ever see.

A thing of beauty.

His touch and movement was insane today.

Let’s hope it was precautionary move by Klopp.

Salah looked super sharp too.
