To be fair whilst I think it's an error I dont think it's worthy of an apology. It was tight and the referee called it one way, VAR didn't see a clear and obvious error and the same VAR was called out by Webb for intervening in the West Ham penalty when not a clear and obvious error.

I don’t think there’s much to worry about. Just looks like they’re playing the long game with him, not introducing him til he’s 100%. It’s not as if we’re in desperate need of him at the moment, and hopefully he’ll be fully up to speed with what’s required of him when he does come into the squad.

Micah Richards is such a great personality in football. Really adds some character to what can be quite a bland lineup of presenters and pundits.

Anybody fearing a city backlash this weekend or do we think they are there to be put to the sword? Arsenal getting some form at last as well, that could be trouble as the season progresses. I still think we are at least 2 windows away from being able to win the league but the opportunity this season is huge.

Really hope we act in January to give our squad a little more balance and sure up some positions that are looking a little weaker.

I could be wrong but I feel like it's almost gone too far for them for a backlash. If they had lost one or two then maybe, but losing five in a row followed by failing to win at home against an average side after being 3-0 up with 15 mins to go, their confidence must be absolutely shot. Plus their manager is getting so pi$$ed off that he is visibly wounding himself with frustration. They currently have no defensive midfield whatsoever and I think they're there for the taking.

I think it'll still be a tough game but if we manage to score early their confidence could be rock bottom thinking here we go again, that too with the crowd pumped.

Just hope we make any dominant periods count, unlike last year when we kept fluffing chances.

If I were Pep, I think playing us at anfield is probably the game I’d want. Maybe need rather than want.

They’ve been ridiculously complacent recently and just lacking drive and sharpness on the pitch. Lethargic performances.

They should need no additional motivation when playing us. They know the league is at stake and they know anything less than a great performance and they’ll be in serious trouble. If the players can’t get up for this game then they can’t get up for any.

I’m not writing City off yet.
