Interesting that Leverkusen are thinking in GBP. I’d say it’s more like they want €140m which is around £118.

Wirtz is the most high-profile situation in the market right now; Liverpool's proposal was worth up to a club-record €130million (£109m; $148.5m) - comprised of a guaranteed fee plus potential add-ons — and may yet increase.

Yeah apparently he was backup plan and Slot went to speak to him

More talks on Wirtz today apparently so hopefully agreed then. Kerkez getting closer now too by sounds of things.

Either way I will be on Wirtz watch tomorrow night, Germany v Portugal.

Arne Slot left his holiday last week and flew to the south of France for a meeting with Rayan Cherki that was scheduled before Liverpool advanced on a move for Florian Wirtz. ✈️🇫🇷

Slot honoured the meeting but Liverpool have moved on, and City are now progressing on a move. ⌛️

Still feels like we have some gaps to fill, that's always why I was sceptical about Wirtz, we still need other positions and he's a vast amount of money.

But if PSR is no problem with those 3 the after some sales we should be fine to spend even more. If we spent in the region of £50-70m on a striker and CB then I'd be happy enough. If that can be another £30m higher then superb!

If we sign those three then the squad is full. We’ll need to move some out before any more signings.

Actually there may be one place, depending on the youth.

If we keep Quansah and Gomez I think we will hold out another year for a centre back and I probably agree with it. Especially having signed a right back.

Sell Tsimikas, Elliot, Nunez, Chiesa and we should be able to pick up at least a striker. Still missing a DM for me

I reckon Chiesa will get another season

Chelsea are activating the penalty clause to pay United £5m to send Sancho back to them.

PSR is clearly easy to get around you spread any purchases over 5 years whilst sales count for the 1 year. Spending 200m this window would equate to 40 million, Kellehers covered a quarter of it already.

Ofc it adds to the next 4 years too, but gives the club time to balance it with more sales or w.e. Im sure they'll be 2 or 3 more sales from us this window.
