Perfect tonic last night, and a huge confidence boost. What a difference taking some of your chances makes.

It helped that Frankfurt are just Liverpool-lite in a lot of way, and we’ll not see that room at the weekend, but we 100% look fitter than we did before the international break.

Hopefully one thing Slot took from last night is that Szobo in the pivot with Wirtz ahead of him is the way to go for a while. They were linking up very well and think Szobo's energy and pace means there's less gaps in the middle.

Ekitike should also be one of the first names on the team sheet right now and it should be on the likes of Isak and Salah to dislodge him.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy watching Wirtz in the half space from the right, for me, that’s his best position.

Difficult to know how to set-up vs Brentford.

I’m guessing it’ll be Grav in for Isak, with Szob and Ekitike moving to 10 and 9 respectively, but it would be zero surprise to see Salah come back in.

Correct, there’s enough going on here.

Plus I go to 🛌 early on weekdays as I rise early in the morning so don’t update always update the score.

Plus maybe someone else wants to do it, I’ve doing mostly now for about 12 years.

It works for other boards just fine. Anyway, IMO having to switch threads is a lot of work and the discussion gets split into two when the game ends. It's actually not good for discourse.

If you're one of those that doesn’t go on the match thread then nothing changes for you because nobody really posts on this thread during the game.

Salah is an English game all time great...but you'd never get that sense if you spoke to our fanbase, let alone neutrals

I agree that this is probably his last season and we will get a nice fee from Saudi in the summer. Win win for all.

Ekitike looks ready to step up and Gakpo another who gets hate but the man is stepping up with G/A which can't be ignored.
