That is not great for the club at all given our current circumstacnes, I fully accept that.
++++
And the understatement of the year award goes to..........
You also fully accept securing loans against Ibrox is not good for the club
Why don't you just go the full hog and say that Ashley is not good for the club
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because I dont base my outlook for the next 10 to 20 years at our club on how bad the club has been run in the past 3.
As an SPL club, £3m going out the door on something that gives us sod all return, although not great for us, isnt going to kill us, and it is something even those who did everything with the clubs best interests at heart could be capable of doing.
Peter Lawwell is a Celtic fan is in no way Mike Ashley, yet Celtic have easily spent those kind of sums on transfers fees and wages on numerous players who have done fck all for the club whatsoever.
As a club in the lower leagues, that has shysters running the place without care, is losing money hand over fist, cant afford to pay its $hite manager off, has few sellable assets, and is paying SPL level wages without SPL level income.....£3m wasted like that is bound to have far more of an impact.

All I know is, the figures I posted are the figures that were reported back from the company Rangers Retail Limited.
The profits from that company are supposed to be split 50/50 between the club (51% shareholder) and SD (49% shareholder), but the clubs obligation to buy back unsold stock from SD through that company has distorted that 50/50 split severely and its unknown how much of that now miniscule share of those profits have actually been paid to the club and how much is still held within Rangers Retail Limited.
"So you are happy that he is shafting us for 3m (at least) per year"
I am happy to let Ashley have his £3m a year or more if our club ends up in a much more stable and self sustainable place financially, provided our progress and success on the pitch is not completely and utterly restricted due to the money he is taking, and provided he isnt leaving us a shell of a club with absolutely fck all assets left contained within it.
I lambasted McCoist becasue he was taking £750k a year and doing absolutely fck all good for us. Our progress was stalling under him, we were not progressing and he in no way deserved the ludicrous wage he was getting for completely and utterly fcking things up for us on the pitch.
I will lambast Ashley if all he is doing is taking money out of us, restricting us and not helping us progress in anyway....I feel it is still, far far too early to say thats what he is doing when he has only had a man on the board for a few months and is still battlng for control of the club, resorting to these tactics because he cant increase his shareholding while others can.
I dont believe he would be looking for security on Ibrox if the SFA had let him buy more shares, that was his intention, I think that was evident, and the fact he couldnt do that helped Park/King get a foot in the door.
I am not comfortable with loans being secured against our most vital assets, but I dont see anyone else putting money forward without any form of security against it either. This is a power grab...he cant get more clout through buying more shares, so if he has the stadium in his grasp he can get far more clout that way, I can only hope thats what he wants this for and doesnt have intentions to use it for anything else, if he does, fck him, he can do one!!
but the way some of you lot go on, its as if you are expecting people to come in and throw money at the club and not take a penny back.....thats fcking fairy tale stuff.
If Ashley is onyl using Ibrox to ensure he gets control of the club, and does not take it out from the clubs possesion, can turn the clubs business around, use his own money to do it, not ask fans to put another penny forward in the form of shares, only ask them to keep buying season tickets and merchandise, and we continue to progress and dont stagnate on the pitch, I honestly do not know what the major fcking problem is with the man rewarding himself and his company for all that with about 10% of our income??

I am at least open to the fact that my optimism may just be nothing other than that, and Ashley could be one of the worst things that ever happens to us.
If I am wrong, I am wrong, and believe you me, I dont want to be.
Still a chance he could do some good for us, and change a lot of things that badly need to be changed within our club, things another "Rangers man" might just ignore or throw money at, same way as many others have done in recent times, most recently, a certain Alistair McCoist
"The way the club is run at the moment is proof to me that Ashley is just milking us"
At the moment I will 100% accept that, but I do not expect our club to be in this current situation for the rest of our lives mate
