Aha!! Here’s one that ties in nicely with Puns post…
Imagine my surprise, when it was revealed, that for his classic track ‘The Next Episode’.
Dr Dre sampled the beat from none other than David McCallum himself.
How random is that fam!!…

Theme us baby
We doing the 2000's?
Well I did my 2000s top 10 already:
In the Mood for Love (2000)
Sexy Beast (2000)
Mulholland Drive (2001)
Donnie Darko: the director's cut (2001)
Distant/Uzak (2002)
No Country for Old Men (2007)
There Will be Blood (2008)
Wall-E (2008)
Inglorious bastrds (2009)
Crazy Heart (2009)
Reserve: Let the Right One in (2008)
The Prestige
Dark Knight
Iron Man
Gladiator
Minority Report
Shaun of the Dead
X-Men 2
Spider-Man 2
LOTR The Two Towers
Last Samurai
Went for one movie per franchise. Honourable mentions: Bourne, Reign of Fire, Master and Commander, Sin City, Day After Tomorrow, Serenity, 300, There Will Be Blood, Casino Royale, Triple X
The Prestige > There Will be Blood is an interesting take.
Hopefully it will tear the thread apart and anarchy will reign supreme.

Prestige was entertaining. There will be blood is sooooooo boring
Good call on Sexy Beast. Has anyone watched the new TV series ? It works very nicely as a prequel to the movie, very entertaining.
In no order
Casino Royale
Gladiator
Lord of the Rings
District 9
City of God
The Departed
Kill Bill
Master and Commander
Cinderella Man
Last Samurai
I'm counting LOTR as one movie as it basically is a 10 hour movie and can be watched as such
City of God's a good shout. Not sure I'd include it but it'd be in the discussion for sure.

The 3 body problem is top notch. Loved it

Thank you for watching it It is good though, isn’t it? The whole premise that all of our physics science is wrong is fascinating, they basically have to start from scratch (that’s not a spoiler btw, it’s clear from the start)
The books go into it so much deeper, so if you don’t mind an epic read, give it a go.

Yeah I heard as much, very hard Sci fi, heavy on science. Thought it was excellent, clever, thought provoking and mysterious and hard hitting in places. Some proper jaw drop moments too
They better make a season 2. Don’t trust Netflix

Think it’s absolutely nailed on for season two, I thinks there’s been huge investment in this.
The nanotechnology aspect is cool. Without giving anything away, that scene with the ship is insane.

The budget is the reason I think they might have cold feet- notorious for it. And it looked very expensive, the ship part, Jesus
