You have to really feel for the Turkish people at the moment. The country's descending into a terrible state from a security perspective, and that will not be helping existing sectarian tensions.
Plus it looks more and more like they are being led by a self-obsessed maniac aiming at autocracy.
Just reading up on turkey, terrible scenes

Not on my tram, you feckers. Examples of some of these people need to be made very quickly to nip all of this in the bud.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, but I would like to pont out that the abuse a lot of the remain supports are dishing out is at a similar level to this, hatred of people who do not agree with their views instead of hatred for people with different colour skin.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you really equating hatred of someone's political views with violent xenophobic and racist actions?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm saying hatred is hatred and we are seeing plenty of it from the remain side as well. Racism, violence and hatred are never acceptable imo.

Maybe it isn't Corbyn. Maybe it requires someone with a bit more of an obvious personality. But it requires someone with Corbyn's commitment to his principles, not a sharp suit surrounded by spin doctors.

Commitment to his principles? Are you sure about that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He refused to say he's 100% behind the EU, as he's refused to back down on Trident and nuclear disarmament, renationalisation of key utilities and the rail network, military interventionism, additional support for our social security mechanisms, the unification of Ireland and myriad other long-held beliefs he's been torn to shreds over by the press.
I'd say he's absolutely willing to stand by his beliefs in opposition to popular opinion.

So we pay a tariff on exports, charge the EU members a tariff on imports from them, use some of the money from EU payments towards it and save millions in NHS bills on migrants who only come here for the free healthcare and benefits. And with free trade with the rest of the world including China, India, the US and possibly even Russia. A decent trade agreement with Russia could go a long way to alliviating some of the tensions with them.
