Right, so 27 countries unanimously agree that the 4 cornerstones of the EU have to remain intact and that there is no access to the single market without adhering to those 4 cornerstones, but in reality it is all lies because what they really mean is that for the UK who just stabbed them all 27 in the back, they will make an exception

Things change. And they will have to if the EU wants to remain as an entity.
We will see how rigid they are come September when negotiations will start.

I did look for them. I found a site with that figure, and another saying UK/US trade is under 2%.
We are a net importer from the EU. Higher tariffs would punish the EU more than us.
British car exports were worth €18bn to Germany. A third of their EU trade surplus was from us.
In what world would a petty, punitive tariff system bebworthwhile? Risking jobs in a continent with severe financial difficulties it makes no sense. It would punish Ireland. It would possibly punish Scotland too if they leave

At the point at which we leave the EU, we will have either zero or one trade agreements in place.
The EU will have its own internal free trade mechanism, as well as agreements in place with fifty other countries, likely including Canada and the US, and quite possibly the MERCOSUR bloc, Russia and India (negotiations ongoing with all three).
I would say that puts them in a fairly strong negotiating position in itself.
More importantly, they know that if they allow Britain to get away with direct access to the single market without accepting unrestricted freedom of movement, the EU will be signing its own death warrant. Why on earth would they do that?
We have to get over the idea that we are some kind of special case and that the EU cannot do without us; it's just a fallacy.
