It's good to see that the club is doing everything they can to help the community and Key Staff, in this critical time. Here is a link to the story.

Whilst our CEO is doing her utmost to help others, as pasty has stated, tragically her father has died. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

It's good to see that we have a great team leading our club and are putting profit out of the equation. I salute them.

Well that's me out of work for a while, cant get any goods delivered, and most of the usual builders' yards are closed or only taking orders for emergency essentials.

A neighbour called asking where my wife was, I explained she was in the garden,
Neighbour said they couldn't see her.
I replied, 'You may have to dig a bit deeper'

Isaac I sincerely hope you and everybody else is managing somehow as circumstances will vary across the board.
Goldwyndavies still hasn't checked in

I'm fine really, got most the necessities, just know boredom will set in soon.
I can get the odd days' work in the coming weeks
and will be watching out for the elderly nearby, checking they have everything needed etc

Isn't it strange but nice that we have not heard from KH
Perhaps he's just busy isolating in the garden looking after his veg seedlings contemplating his future after seeking the advice of the Ginger Gardener.
I wonder if he's considered writing a book he'd have a best seller with Essential Potting Shed Fashion Tips

Pasty, a little worrying that Golden hasn't posted of late. I hope that he is well and if he visits this board that he takes a few seconds to clock in and lets us know that he is still alive and kicking.

As for KH, he's probably trying hard to avoid upsetting the natives.

Regarding Covid19 my son and his partner are both classed as key workers, they were authorized for their son to go to school and their daughter to continue at the nursery. When he picked his little girl last night the nursery informed him that they were closing forthwith, no reasonable explanation was given. I thought that everyone would work for the greater good of the community. It seems not to be the case despite the government picking up the bill.

I didnt know you cared but a big thanks guys, yes I’m fine a bit of locking up in Lanzarote, a very good friend will look after the place, and a swift flight home by a very true friend, I’m back home in Lytham.
Hope everyone is ok, and all your families.
I will catch up later.

He's alive !!
Of course we care we wouldn't be proper wanderers if we didn't. It's good to hear from you at last GWD now don't leave it so long before posting in the future or you'll be banished to quarantine with KH in his potting shed.

It's good to hear from you Golden, and well said pasty. We care about all our posters. We are a community that doesn't always agree with each other but that doesn't mean that we don't care about each other.

Golden, I am in England. Our ferry passage is booked for 12th of may but we won't be going back to Spain. I feel safer here for the time being and quite honestly, I don't see us being allowed to travel to Spain this year.

I have taken the cash from our account and I sent them an email yesterday to see if we could have a refund of our cash. Thet have already said that we can re=organise our trip in the next twelve months but no one is sure when we will be allowed to travel or when it will be safe to travel.

There was a retired policeman on GMB TV this morning saying that the Spanish police were going around in vans and when they see people walking about, they get out and kick the legs from under them. I'm not sure that is right but I sincerely hope not.

They (the ferry company) have taken the cash from our account.

Mistakes happen when her indoors interrupts me when I'm posting! There is nowhere to go to get away from her. (Only joking , I love her dearly).

Not logged on for a few days. Pleased to hear everyone is ok and healthy. Reckon a good few months before allowed to travel abroad. As said better off here. The free parking in Bolton article in the beano was funny. When I walked in before the lockdown town centre was dead and that was with the shops open. All I'm doing is driving to and from work, asda once a week and staying in. Not bothering with going out for exercise. Kind of on the frontline at work but we are key suppliers. Got a big job on at the Corona virus hospital at the gmex so that will keep us busy. Stay safe.

I've received a reply from the ferry company. The ferry has not been canceled at this moment in time, so no refund as yet. They are looking at the situation week to week. They have now extended the time that we can use our ticket from one year to two years.

It looks as though they are thinking along the lines that most of us are. It's going to be a long and lonely road, to recovery.

Pasty, I think you might be right in your assessment of next season, not being started in August let alone this season being completed.

Don't forget, no sneaking out this weekend. Stay safe.

As its match day its only right to mention football here and there to pass the time.

Good morning guys. The sun is shining and I will oil the decking around the lodge. It looks to be a good day to do that job. I was going to start it earlier in the week but we have had cold weather, a little rain, and some wind. Not ideal conditions for someone who prefers warmer weather.

Enjoy your day, at least you are allowed to spend time in your garden.
