I think there’s a pile of teams we can beat. The general consensus now is that 3 promotion teams will go down. Just think we won’t see that happen again.

Agree.

We haven't made a ton of new signings for the
starting XI. However, the players we have landed
who will start look to be real difference makers.

Perri, Bijol, Gudmundson, and Beast mode Stach.

If we can add two starters beyond what we have,
we have a very real chance of staying up. If
nothing else, we won't go back down without a
massive fight. And judging by the size of the lads,
we'll hurt a few along the way.

I think the reality is not lost on any of us that it is almost impossible to survive without a predator in the box which unfortunately I don't think we have yet and I expect us to lose at least a dozen games by just a goal and probably draw another 10 but I think if we do get
Muniz we can win at least 10 games so reach that 40
point safety mark but without him or someone similar
it's hard to see Piroe or Nmecha being good enough to keep us up but you never know I sincerrly hope I'm wrong and the two forwards we already have are able to rise to the challenge and surprise us all.

I think most teams down the bottom will all beat each other. Could be the tightest relegation scrap seen for years. I genuinely think 3-4 teams could be fighting for survival on the final day

The reality of the challenge ahead is not lost on me. Clearly it’s going to be tough, but I think we can rise to the occasion in the PL, especially with our home form and our amazing support. Plus I think with a couple more additions to the squad, we are in decent shape.

I think more than anything I really dislike the closed shop mentality of the PL fans in general. So ridiculously banal and trendy to just assume the teams coming up have no chance. Hey, how about some smart recruitment and some actual coaching of players…it might make a difference.

9 wins and 12 draws should do it

Making predictions without knowing the team is probably worthless.

Yep, I’m going for 9 wins too … with the 12 draws, that would make (roughly) a 4-game run on average being: 1 win; 1 draw; 2 defeats. I’d take that now tbh … any better than that and I’ll be delighted👍

not so sure other than I do think we'll be ok in the end... think we'll be safe, and think there are at least 4 or 5 teams who aren't as strong..

will change every week, but will get there in the end

Very hard to predict as we just have no idea whether the players we have bought will be good enough so can only base it on recent historical data
1. Finishing position - 18th
2. Number of wins - 7
3. The bottom 3 - Leeds Sunderland Burnley
4. Top scorer - Piroe
5. Player who will impress most - Perri
6. Latter stages of a cup - No

As things stand, as of today, I think we've a tough season ahead. My predictions with the squad we have right now.

1. 18th
2. 8
3. Leeds, Burnley & Wolves
4. Piroe
5. Stach
6. No

Throw in 2 or 3 new signings to the current crop and i'd revise, like others would i'd imagine.

I'd also imagine that the likes of Perri/Stach et al were sold Leeds as a project with attacking additions also coming in (as well as a good salary of course). Not sure any player signed with a relegation likely, I suspect they've all been shown the 49er/Parathe blueprint of what a Leeds staying up plan looks like. Jigsaw still has missing pieces.

I was optimistic right up until the Paixão debacle, going into the last few days of the would he/wouldn't he the writing on the wall was that he would sign for OM and doing a Leeds for me is just that courting a big name potential star who I can put on the back of my new shirt only for the club to never follow through (Rapha is the only exception).
So with a heavy heart and I agree with Promotion on this one but at this stage with each day that passes things are not looking good.

1. Finishing position? 19th

2. Number of wins? Far too few, I don't know where the goals are going to come from.

3. The bottom 3 See above

4. Top scorer (Or not signed yet). Nmecha

5. Player who will impress most (Or not signed yet) Stach will fight a valliant one man battle but will wish he never bothered signing.

6. Latter stages of a cup? (Yes/No) Yes, but which cup?

posted on 11/8/25

Bottom three is Brentford, Leeds, Burnley. I thought it was yes/no question.
