"It is best you get banned you stupid tool"

Well go and do something constructive, and put in an application form for it then.

Mr C

We are dealing with a very special case here. Could well be worth hanging around.

Just popping out for some grub, then I will go get the old light sabre.

the team that Carrick played in won all those honours.

The team before Carrick joined it won SFA.

What do you deduce?

I am not saying that Carrick is the best player in the world. He is very good though at what he does. And what he does has enabled United to compete at the squeeky bum end of European Competitions whilst still winning in the PL run ups. Something that we were hopeless at before he came.

So it is credit to Fergie for untilising Carrick this way and credit to Carrick for delivering.

Surely, even in your own stupidity, you can see how we might value their opinions over someone who is pretending to be a United fan.

Fair enough, and at least you've finally answered my question. I have to be at least a professional footballer to contribute a negative opinion about United. I hope you’ve run that past the Arab.

PostNearlyMen here you go mate

VC - We had one on our board too a while back. Something didnt sit right with me about him. He got banned a short while after however you cant really be 100% certain if someone is pretending to be a fan of your team or not but if he's rubbing up the majority of the fans the wrong way then something aint right.
Debate it out lads. Lets not get personal

He's pretending to be a football fan. I think he's an egg chaser really.

I've had it up to here with the amount of plastic scu.mbags that roam this forum now, getting personal is what they've reduced me to it makes me sick to be honest.

Contribute what you want, just don't expect people to agree with you when you are being an idiot.

I've said it before, and I'm sorry for repeating it, I'll say it again:

Michael Carrick has been an important part of the team, going through their most succesful period ever, and has been selected by a manager many would consider to be the very best of all time.

Along with quite a few others I made this point a few weeks ago as well when perhaps his stock was not as high as it is now.

Ok fair point. But my argument is he has done very little, if anything to contribute towards winning these titles. O'shea and Brown were also in the team, but they have been shipped out.

Carrick was near the bottom of the pecking order at the start of the season because we have better players. Unfortunately they’re injured. We were trying to sign Nasri and/or Sneider (spelling) so Carricks days could well have been numbered. Unfortunately we're stuck with him again.

I can pick examples where Carrick has ballsed up, and potentially cost us titles. FA cup semi against City, trying to clear a ball a kicking it into Nani’s back CL final, to counter these claims he’s a title winner.

I do however always come back to the FACT he has never been a regular in the national team. If he was as good as you, Arab and all the other ‘loyal’ fans on here make out, why isn’t he picked. I’m fairly confident Fabio, and the string of other managers who have managed England, are better placed than you or your Spanish friends to come to the conclusion he’s not good enough. The point I’ve been making all along.

I haven't read through all of the comments on here, but I've got the gist of your negative viewpoint (Carrick isn't good enough, I assume).

Rather than get drawn into a slanging match, what's your (realistic) alternative, and how would previous seasons have panned out if Carrick hadn't been here?

Also, is it just Carrick that's the subject of your ire, or do others shoulder the blame for whatever you're angry about?

Paul Scholes wasn't a regular in centre mid with the national team, mainly because the national team don't have a clue

I don't know?

If what you're trying to say is, who would I have played instead of him. Anderson, bought in Cleverly a season sooner, spent some of that £100million making sure we signed Sneijder/Nasri, maybe Van Der Vaart, got Parker for a season on loan...

There seemed to be a host of much, much better alternatives than Carrick, and players that would have strengthened our midfield, that we have either decided to ignore, or let slip through the net.

"Paul Scholes wasn't a regular in centre mid with the national team"

He played a hell of a lot more than Carrick, and was laterally begged on more than one occasion to come out of retirement.

The fact your comparing Scholes in the same breath as Carrick is laughable.
