Tippy - according to the rumours on the OS (which are just sourced from the normal poor outlets), CSKA have warned us off of Honda. I'd love to see us sign him.

I think (despite today's speculation) that we are looking to sign one of Kagawa or Honda, due to the connections with standard chartered and the Asian market.

I could see that and us also signing another attacker, hopefully somebody like Podolski and a midfield enforcer, I would go for De Jong (Nigel) or Sandro.

So my (incredibly optimistic) signings would be:

Honda
Podolski
De Jong

Of course there is always the possibility that Kenny and DC have no intention of making a signing in the January transfer window

I only really follow English football so I dont know any fancy names (other then players on Fifa) but I would be amazed if we dont make at least 1 signing in the January transfer window. We seem to be 1-2 players off getting that elusive 4th spot and FSG will do whatever it takes without being wreckless to get it

There's been some pretty strong rumours about Luuk De Jong from FC Twente. Don't know if there is any truth behind them though.

I'd like us to look at Shaqiri or Boudebouz. Two really skilful young players who can play either wing or attackking midfield. Neither will be that expensive and I think both would jump at the chance to come to Liverpool given the team they're at currently.

I heard something about some Colombian striker, who I'd never heard of being on the radar. I'd appreciate if somebody could remind of his name, so as I can look him up.

On the wall of silence, Adam, Enrique and Downing were all signings we knew were gonna happen before they did.

Always there'll be a one side who wants to release the information. This is why we get the 'our source on the inside' line. This sometimes is true but of course more often than not, it's a way to print a story without backing it up.

From the rumour mill this morning -

Liverpool have contacted Inter Milan over a proposed loan deal for Dutch forward Luc Castaignos as cover for the suspended Luis Suarez.

Inter are apparently keen on loaning out the youth international, who signed from Feyenoord in 2011, but would be reluctant to sell.

RAP - Mertens signed in June last year for PSV.
