Not really, Faria was annoyed that they got a penalty that shouldn't stood and considering it put them 2-1 up and pretty much ended our league hopes I'd be pretty annoyed too

See to me If Ballack had knocked Overbo out or pushed him over when he was chasing him I'd have clapped him and said he deserves a medal

then he may have faced charges. Not just UEFA charges, FA charges, Chelsea fines...

but criminal ones too.

What Drogba did was completely wrong. You can't say stuff like that on live television during a CL semi-final.

Ovrebo is just a p1.55 poor ref, remember a Bayern-Fiorentina match the next season he did where he somehow managed to do even worse than he did at the Bridge

So what tho, ref deserved it and that would have just been showing the passion and outrage that every single chelsea fan player staff member etc was feeling, it's why i respect Drogba so much for that rant

No one deserves to be assaulted, abused or mocked. Even hateful figures that transcend beyond our game.

I dont believe it was a conspiracy.

I dont believe the ref was intentionally showing favouritism.

I think quite simply, he was out of his depth, and made a series of bad decisions succumbing to the pressure of the occasion, and a failure to judge each incident in isolation.

He even made clangers against Barca such as sending Abidal off....or do you not remember that?

He didnt do it to even up earlier messed up calls, but rather, as I said, because he was rubbish.

What angers me most about that game (OR DID) was that it never should have been 1-1.

We should have put the game away comfortably.

We attacked briliantly first 60-70 minutes, failed to score a second sat back and thus conceded.

Regardless of Ovrebo, that was unacceptable.

Considering how poor Utd were in the final that year, and the motivation we would have had to beat them, I see it as real missed opportunity.
