Barca went like 10 seasons where they only got the 2nd leg of a knockout tie twice. There's luck and ridiculous.

Was pretty obvious in 2012 that us and bayern wouldn't get each other in the semi's either because the world wants an el classico final, even blatter admitted it

The world may want it, and the attention and perception they give to certain teams could be seen as unfair..

but I really doubt they fix draws. It just comes out as such.

There are far too many factors to play about with.

Even more than bribing or fixing the ref would be.

FIFA are corrupt, UEFA I dont know (they're idiots though)...

but they have much better, much more secure, and much more stable ways, of maintaining power and gaining money.

UEFA have little to gain by fixing draws.

npe football are generally physically imposing men. Referees aren't, Howard Webb is an exception.

He lets the game flow. I think he is overrated....

but the bottler thing is a recent development with him imo...

and before then, I never believed Utd bias yada yada yada

npe I don't think it is bias just that under Ferguson getting the wrong decision against Utd brought fiercer retribution that getting the wrong decision against anyone else.

Clattenburg is probably the ballsiest referee in the PL, it just makes him get quite stubborn and confrontational at times which then leads to him having horror shows.

I don't rate Clattenburg at all. It's a subjective thing admittedly in his case. It's not resentment over the game last season either, or his technical ability as a ref.

However, there is a horrible smugness to his demeanour as a ref.

He had the exact opposite problem a few years back, he was ridiculously matey with players. He got called up on it to the point he took a little break from reffing. Came back as an aloof knobend.

I admit he has balls though.

I don't understand why Chelsea fans hate Barca so much. We have more reason to dislike Liverpool and even Utd.

It isn't Barca's fault they got lucky with refereeing decisions.

Funny thing is losing to refereeing decisions doesn't annoy me that much. You are powerless in those scenarios. When we lose because we have control over what happens, it annoys me far more.

Monaco and Moscow annoy me far more than anything in the CL.

Decisions come and go. Shouldnt accept incompetence as such, however, refs are human and I find it astounding when people blame a few isloated decisions on a failure over 38 games.

CL I have more sympathy, and yes would hate incompetance at the Olympics, or Wimbledon, or whatever....but in nearly each case 'decisions' let us down....we are often at serious fault too.

Monaco, Gazza, I was 10 so I know so little of it. Hard to find proper highlights and that game belongs to an era when I would still cry if we lost, and I wouldn't be allowed to stay up beyond the half time if it was a night game. .
