Nah UFC is the one that's taking a lot of pages out of wrestling books. That's why I'm suddenly interested in it for the first time ever.

Watching two nobodies fight in a boring style is no fun. It's the characters that make you care about the result.

Monaco already fishing around for CHO as expected. And considering his contract is almost up it's far from certain that he'll stay.

If we let him go I think we'll regret this far more than KdB. Especially when you consider that we're not even well stacked in that area of the squad. Sarri seriously needs to get his head in gear because as much as I'm loving the football we also have to consider the long term health of the club.

Is the long term future of the club even in his interest? Are we incentivising him to manage in that way?

Therein lies the problem. No joined up thinking within the club. I have no clue who's even supposed to be coordinating our long term strategy (if there even is one). We haven't had a director of football since Emenalo quit and I haven't seen much from the club to suggest we're seriously looking for one. I feel like Sarri's we early "success" has really papered over the cracks. We have some very deep structural problems with the way the club is run and I worry that as transfer fees continue to climb our issues will become more exposed.

The forward line is a ticking timebomb for one. We have only three 1st team quality wide forwards. One wants to leave and the other two are over 30. It'll cost a fortune to properly revamp it and we're likely be in a situation where we'll have to bed in multiple players at once.

This will always be a problem at clubs with itchy-trigger execs, which, unfortunately, is most of them nowadays.

As fans, we are generally much more willing to see our club's youth players given time to develop and get used to first team football. We also have a greater emotional investment and a stronger sense of identification with the players that come through the ranks.
