Away shirt costs £125, feck that.

I'm going up to London on the 28th and I was going down to The Bridge to get either the new home or away shirt, I don't think I'll bother at that price.
Tomas Araujo is Chelsea's priority centre-back target for this summer.

Is this the price for football kit these days? I thought would still be circa £60-80. Maybe they know it’s a certi classic
Ain't bought a Chelsea shirt in some time....last one I bought was about £40....the socks probably cost that now
Worth remembering clubs often sell two shirtctypes now. One that's fitted like athletes wear and a cheaper baggies one for lardy fans.
Benfica defender Tomás Araújo is Chelsea's priority target for the central defender position. He has a release clause of €80million. (via @abolapt)
Nick Woltemade on FC Chelsea's interest in him:
🗣 "I think something like that is part of it. It would not be optimal scouting if a club did not have this on its note now. I am not thinking about my future right now."
~ @AgardiJulian
Tosin Adarabioyo on playing for Maresca:
🗣 “It's been fantastic. Obviously, he's implemented his philosophy into the club and into the team which we've all bought into, and as you can see we've had some fantastic results and we managed to hit all our achievements for last season… He is a young manager but he's able to do incredible things for us.”
~ @FIFACWC
‼️Chelsea are content with what they have in goal, though, and regard Sanchez’s improved late-season form as a factor in their eventual top-four finish. It is his job to lose.

🗣 Enzo Maresca: "Chelsea are now investing in the right way, in the direction modern football is going.
Before, a lot of money was spent on players over 30 who were already past their best."

What a load of tosh. Maresca the feckin 'Yes man'

This constant pounding of Clearlake's message through greased up journalists & sycophantic managers is so obnoxious. It's not a damage control thing either, it's how they operate, Potter was doing it. The Glazers do the same thing but they're more tactful & subtle about it, we're a bloody spam bomb!
Of all the things I don't like about this ownership, this might be the thing I hate the most. It's about as anti-Roman an approach to PR as you can get, projects so much insecurity.
‼️ They [Chelsea] are very scared on Penders, of doing anything that requires him to go out on loan for 3 years on the trot, because I think they're mindful of what happened with Courtois and Chelsea, where he came back to Chelsea and actually felt no attachment to Chelsea."
~ @LondonBluePod
🎙 They [Chelsea] are looking for a versatile forward, which is why they're interested in Ekitike still.
He can play as a striker, with a striker, in a variety of different sort of striking roles. And João Pedro, they have shown an interest in.

Gittens will happen. Gittens talks remain. I think there is optimism that will happen.

‼️Essugo is seen as a backup for Caicedo, a big responsibility. Caicedo was the only Chelsea player to start all 38 Premier League games in their 2024-25 season, and the club are wary of relying on him too much with the added burden of their return to the UCL.

Andrey Santos is being earmarked to challenge fellow 21-year-old Lavia for a first XI place.
He gives Chelsea more depth across central areas of the pitch.

That sort of money is an absolutely outrage and symbolic of the detachment that the common man now has with football sadly. You now basically have to be well off to be a fully involved football fan that goes to games regularly, watches it legally on TV and buys the shirts and other merchandise. That used to be very affordable but will now set you back several thousand per season lol. Fck that.
Even just the games for a top club will do that won't they
🗣 @Matt_Law_DT: "Chelsea don't feel they can give him [Petrovic] that because they don't feel they're at that stage with him.
Chelsea would want him to come back to fight to be number one, and he wouldn't probably start as number one.
Petrovic, basically, from what I'm told, said, 'Well, I prefer not to go to the Club World Cup. I'd rather look at what I believe my options are to leave.'
So he asked not to go, so they didn't take it on. Chelsea said that if he wanted to go and if he was willing to compete without any guarantees, then he would have taken up one of the goalkeeper slots on the Club World Cup."
