Not sure that's true. What's the point of exiling him if he's still here.

Just feels a bit weird, openly trying to sell him all summer. Looks like he's gone to Fulham, next minute he's in our plans for the season.

Don't mind keeping him around, but I think we've got like 10 forward players.

There's interest from Saudi clubs, hopefully he's tempted to go

Did we openly try — he also appeared to turn down several clubs.

It's no always on us. Players have agency and can make their own decisions

Also quite funny one minute half the Haven is whining our squad's too thin, now George is staying it's "That's too many players."

Bunch of fecking Goldilocks on here sometimes

Have our two SD's and transfer department just been sipping cocktails all summer banking on everything working out last minute ???? 😂😂

George was a useful player when we didnt have Garnacho, now i think we do have 1 too many for him to still be here unless he is predominantly a striker option

Considering how proactive we were in sales I think they worked in over-drive for weeks. It was pretty impressive to be honest.

I disagree with them on several players. I wish we had focused more on defence and actually could mount a title challenge. I didn't like the mess with Jackson and Guiu's recall.

But the way some users on here chat about transfers makes me wonder if we're living in the same universe. In what world have they been lazy? We've literally flipped 50 players ffs.

Main thing is to settle down now. Less churn should allow us to be more targeted in our approach. Let the squad grow together and make additions only where clear improvements can be made.

George not going is a shame, as I think he'll get very little time on the wing, which is the only place that currently suits him. But who knows, another injury and he could become an important squad piece. Hopefully he still gets enough time to continue developing and we can find him a loan or move in Jan.

I'm a huge Buonanotte fan after watching his youtube highlights.

Many said the same after watching Mudryk on YouTube. It's a dangerous medium for scouting players.

.......well, yeh we know thats not the case, Saturday showed us he aint a striker, remember saying to myself around the 70min mark "Oh George IS playing" as basically done his best invisible man trick, only looked useful when he floated out left and helped there a little.

But on the plus he looked a completely different player in closed season which tells me if he plays out left he can be useful. Feel the likes of Garnacho or Neto would be a better CF option if no one else is available or during cup competitions.

Palace kinda screwed us out of a chunky sell on fee btw

Yeah I don't see George getting any game time unless Garnacho and/or Gittens get injured in which case he might get a sniff in the cups.

Can Garnacho play up front ? Would be extremely useful if he can.

I didn't want us to buy Guehi for £30m+ with only a year on his contract, but I would be keen to perhaps try and get him on a free next summer, with a view that we might be moving on from Bads and Fofana at that time.

Dont know if he can, just seems like the type of profile physically who could work well there.....however, we have also seen this may not work

Google suggests United played him there a few times......and he was ok. Whether thats a step up from our awful when we play a fake 9 I guess is yet to be seen. But with Garnished Nacho on the left and the Brighton dude at 10 (my poor Auto correct is gonna start to have even more of a fit i feel), our bench probably looks a bit healthier in attack than Saturday

‼️ Raheem Sterling still has high ambitions and that includes a desire to represent England again someday after winning 82 caps previously. He will now have to focus on continuing to train at Cobham – separately if necessary.
