Google suggests United played him there a few times......and he was ok. Whether thats a step up from our awful when we play a fake 9 I guess is yet to be seen. But with Garnished Nacho on the left and the Brighton dude at 10 (my poor Auto correct is gonna start to have even more of a fit i feel), our bench probably looks a bit healthier in attack than Saturday

The outcomes are we sell him for 70million all in, or we can sell him for 30-40million when he comes back and still make a tidy profit if we doint want to keep him

It's rare when a transfer happens & you just know in the pit of your stomach that it's gunna fail without a doubt. I don't even have that about Garnacho, but I had it w/Sterling.

I never really rated him anyway, but when I saw what we were paying him I just knew this doesn't end well for us

You and me both dude - have said from day 1 it was bad. Was happy to be proven wrong but we bought him when he was what 27/28, so deep into his prime (I always believe this is even later for a speedster who have played quite a few years like he had), had maybe 1 period when he was very good for a few months at City......and then pay 50 million and 300k a week like WTF!?! Like seriously the writing was on the wall, how our SD missed it is beyond me, well maybe not, they felt Sanchez was good enough for us to be in goal and that we havent needed a CB for over 2 seasons...........so who knows

So do we have any option to buy Buonanotte if he turns out to be really good here ? If not then we simply showcase the player to the world, raise his transfer fee exponentially and then probably price ourselves out of buying him lol

Lol, on paper it was a great signing. Just legs had clearly gone and our squad lacked any stability.

Sometimes, I feel utterly clueless and idiotic watching us and well out of my depth. At other times like under Lampard or Potter I was unconvinced the managers knew much more than the collective intellect of the Haven.

Yeah me too although I always felt uneasy about signing Sterling and those absurd wages from the outset. Koulibaly I was all for though and it's a shame that didn't work out. Maybe if we'd signed him a few years earlier it would have. Guy was a beast in his pomp.

I wonder if we should have gone for Kolo Muani on loan before Spurs did. Would have probably been a better backup than Guiu

Hope we sold Chilwell for £50m.

Romano etc said there was no option to buy, but I would imagine we would sign him if he does well, fee depending but at least we would have preference. I dont expect anything different with Chelsea/Brighton.

Koulibaly was the only thing I liked about that window. The rest of it I hated to such an extent that Tuchel's sacking (the final straw) has left me with a resentment towards our board that I still haven't dropped.

And that winter window was like throwing more straws onto the camel just to take the p!ss
