JPB you may not be one of them but there are some posters who would have Finn in come what may and have been known to denigrate Bresnan's talent by calling him "a bits and pieces player'.
hopefor, if I remember rightly, it was our indian friends that were calling him that.
We know that apart from being able to lick life size sachin tendonker posters, they know nothing about modern test match cricket. Some of them still think they are nr.1

However, Bresnans runs contribute massively and even though on the thread I said Finn, I think Im 5050 now.
Anyway, be happy that you have quality in depth. Finn would probably get into quite a few other teams and is probably unlucky that England have such a good bowling line up.

We've been here before where 606 posters call for filling the team with young talent after a series is won. It never happens.
Read my last few posts Viren, I am screaming out wanting Finn to play in the next test. I know exactly what he is capable of and the Windies have 4 or 5 batsmen ( including Barath if he can begin to get his act together a little) who would give him a bit of a test.
You can support and vote for who you want Viren. I appreciate hearing what you have to say. With regards to Jonny Bairstow, well I am unsure, as is everybody else. The selectors and Graeme Gooch will know what to do with him.
I look forward to seeing what they do.
personally, i'd probably go for a fully fit tremlett over either bresnan or finn probably anyway.

panesar
onions
tremlett
finn
dernbach
that's got to be better than some countries' first choice.

i know it's tough, and possibly contrary to recent england policy, but if bopara is scoring runs before the south africa series, and if bairstow hasnt got any, then i think id be tempted to stick bopara back in.
i thought bairstow looked really good in his first innings last week though, so hopefully he'll put some runs on the board in the 3rd test, and it wont be an issue.
Im not actually saying get rid of Bairstow. Im just saying u shouldnt judge on 1 performance.
Bopara is fit again and playing tomorrow I believe.
Woakes will be out of the running for a while as he's just returned from injury.
I like the look of Bairstow's jib. I think he will become our number 6 eventually.
The very words Morgan/Bopara/Patel make me cringe to be honest. Keep them all away from our national team. We are trying to consolidate our position as the best test match team in the world and those 3 are attrocious.
Viren, like I say ( and am from yorkshire) I don't know what to make of Jonny yet. Taylor would be the natural replacement if things went pique tong for him?
The team we played with today is the England team. The rest are on the bench.
Mustn't forget Stokes as he's a decent medium pace bowler to boot.
