"well batted" to English batsmen
"English world(class) batsmen can chase 100 run in flat dubai pitch against Pakistan" lol
"England can win series in Asia, they won 1-0 against the in-transition Srilanka"
"Australia could only draw 1-1"
England can't bat in Australia
BISH BOSH Can you fetch that ball back from the fence please
1:3 and that's just the last one
England can bat in Australia against attack of Warne and Mcgrath.England could not lose after scoring 500 runs.
Cogratulations WG Grace for being recognized as the best batsman in the history of the game with the incredible career average of 99.94
Congratulation Michael Vaughn for leading England to world cup glory twice and being the 2nd most prolific run scorer of all time.you also scored 30 ODI centuries and 5 double hundreds.
Congratulation Ashley giles for being cosidered the king of spin and bowling the ball of the century
Congratulation England for being NOT ridiculously loser.
Living in the past a little aren't we?
Bradman Warne Mcgrath
Oh dear, oh well, I can always enjoy the present for both of us <diva >
it's a shame there isnt a board just for wumming, so that almost every cricket thread doesnt get ruined by it.
On my previous note - " Bradman, Warne, Mcgrath and Ponting, play well tomorrow fellas"
3 are retired and the last fella there, well, he can't
Mitchell Johnson applauds the barmy army for the respect shown to him.
Lighten up JPB. Just a bit of fun mate Gorkhali and I both know that Australia suck, kept getting beaten by us on their home ground, by an innings, inside 3 days, but they aren't the only ones so it ain't all bad.
it's overthetop and borish.
you seem to have a knowledge of them game which should enable you to do more than just constantly sling insults at others.
You call that lightening up?
I don't know how much knowledge I have but have to admit I have practically seen every ball bowled, and every run made by England for the past 40 years
The diminutive James Taylor on his test debut, ducks under a rising delivery and is clean bowled.
Here is an interesting article on cricinfo. Saker, the aussie who played with and against Mcgrath and Warne when they were in their prime has this to say. Slightly off topic but worth a note me thinks, given the rubbish that is being poster on here by our friend across the other side of the world.
"We should be saying our group is as good as them," Saker said. "You can compare them. The Australians were stand-out bowlers, a great group for a long time and they also had a world-class spinner. Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne in tandem were amazing, but I have seen some spells from Jimmy Anderson and Graeme Swann that have been just as good or better at times. It's important we don't forget the ability of Swanny when he comes in around the three quicks. That's really important.
Let's not underestimate ourselves now. We are living the dream and it's there to be enjoyed. Any negative rubbish thrown at us will be countered acted and sent back with interest.
It's our time.
Now let's get back on with the "banter"
Maksi what did you think of my James Taylor line, I thought it appropriate after the Bairstow bouncer comments.
hopefor, I literally fell of my stool laughing mate.
Superb
I think it's time we saw that man given a go at the highest level, don't you?
Good to see England thinking of making a few changes for the last one?
Finn or Onions may get a place but that's about it.

Having posted on here with you for the last few days, I do not believe that you are a genuine cricket fan.
You state that your enjoyment of the game comes from engaging in “banter” when England are “living the dream”. I personally find this to be an extremely odd approach to cricket.
Most serious cricket fans that I have met throughout my life have an appreciation of the game, irrespective of who wins . In fact, in my experience only a fraction of the enjoyment which any genuine english cricket follower gets out of the game comes from gloating about the victory of a team which a fan supports.
Bearing in mind England’s dismal record over the last 40 years, it seems scarcely credible that anyone whose enjoyment is derived in this manner, would watch every ball bowled for 40 years.
Although you make reference to “banter”, it strikes me that your purpose on here is not to banter but to attempt to bully.
This thread is a case in point, and appears to be typical of your contribution to the site. The thread started off as an exchange of lighthearted balanced comments about the game of cricket, and about incidents which have taken place over the years. You then waded in with a barrage of comments consistently wumming other countries’ supporters, to which eventually you got a response, which you have then cited in justification of making further similar comments.
This seems to be typical of your contributions on the site. I barely remember a post you have put on here in the last week which was not designed to boast about your favourite team or players' achievements, and these posts invariably appear to be aimed at antagonising others.
I’ve never really understand this approach with football fans, but at least there it is accepted as an intrisic part of the game. For cricket lovers to treat the game in the same way doesnt seem right at all. It certainly isnt the English way which I have experiences when following cricket down the years.
In fact, almost every cricket thread on here seems to be dominated by you and your partner in crime hopeforthebest berating other posters with haughty, condescending, antagonistic and insulting comments.
There used to be quite a good community of cricketing posters, on the bbc and on the site which poreceeded it. It makes me wonder whether the reason that they have not transfered to here, it because of the thuggish attitude which you litter the site with.
Sorry mate, I gave up reading that last post after about 2 lines Boring
"Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne in tandem were amazing, but I have seen some spells from Jimmy Anderson and Graeme Swann that have been just as good or better at times."
Oh Jesus, stop Maksi, you are killing me.
Duncan, that is a quote from Saker. He is Australian and knows a bit about cricket, Mcgrath and Warne, which puts him slightly ahead of what we on ja606 think.
That said, I agree with him. You saw what happened down under
Good to see the banter coming back after JPBs weird and misplaced rubbish
Having posted on here with you for the last few days, I do not believe that you are a genuine cricket fan.
----
That's better JPB, you are getting the hang of this "banter" lark now. That made me laugh more than all the others
I also saw the 2009 ashes which you were very fortunate to win.
Batting first at Sydney is almost an instant lose nowadays, check the tests there for the last few years.
Australia made incredibly bad selection decisions in the most recent Ashes and Australia have not lost a series since that point and have only lost 2 of their last 14 matches. England have lost 4 of their last 13 including an embarrassing 3-0 whitewash at the hands of Pakistan which you have dismissed and continue to spout on about how all conquering England are, quite a feat of comparmentalisation I must say.
No one is doubting that Australia are a very poor team right now, but England are more like a medium fish in a small pond as opposed to actually being a good team.
Anyway, I hope SA absolutely stuff you because they are superior to you in almost every department (apart from bottle) and if the beat you aswell it will be fun to watch the master of doublethink continue to claim England are the best team in the world when they no longer hold the No.1 ranking. The No.1 ranking of course being completely debatable ever since 2007, unless of course you really think that India were the best team in the world in the 2 years leading up to England taking the No.1 spot?
The reverend JPB has spoken. All hail. Being a Finn fan is a pretty lonely place at present.
