Things You'll Never Hear In Cricket...

Anyway, I hope SA absolutely stuff you because they are superior to you in almost every department (apart from bottle) and if the beat you aswell it will be fun to watch the master of doublethink continue to claim England are the best team in the world when they no longer hold the No.1 ranking.

---
Dunc Dunc Dunc me ol' chuck egg.

You and I have been swapping cricketing words of wisdom for a long time on 606 now so you will know that we England fans have heard it all before. We can't bowl and take 20 wickets in Australia, we can't bat in Australia, and hey presto we won easily.
Then we were going to get stuffed by India, with their 6 great batsmen and their all conquering cricket team who were the best in the world, and hey presto we whitewashed them 4:0.
So now we move on to South Africa?

You can understand that I have to laugh at the constant drivel, and badly judged predictions that keep on rolling off ja 606ers keyboards?

Good banter though Your post made me laugh and that's why I am here

hopefor, don't tell me JPB has got a stropp on because his beloved Finn can't dislodge the worlds finest cricketer at the moment?

He hasn't forgiven me for saying Bresnan put Finn supporters in their place. Obviously a man who bears a grudge. Sad really.

including an embarrassing 3-0 whitewash at the hands of Pakistan which you have dismissed and continue to spout on about how all conquering England are,
---
Dunc. That is the biggest pile of cowpat I have read on ja606
We were well beaten by Pakistan and NOBODY congratulated them and their fans on here more than I did. Yes we lost that series, and you want us to dwell about that particular series
I thought you knew your stuff.

Selective BS.

What does JPB stand for. 'Just pure bull' probably.

JPB. Fill out your 606 profile a little please so I can see what I am dealing with.

One step at a time. Are you a cricket fan? England? Which County?

=======================

It's not a case of forgiveness hopefor, it was just an exceedingly ignorant and innappropriate comment as I implied at the time. It was similar to the unsolicited bitcchhy put down which you posted of dernbach the other day, and various other contributions you have made.

In fact, whilst you appear to hold yourself out as the resident cricket expert, your understnading of the game appears to be on a par with a school boy, so it's no great surprise that your so willing to concentrate on joining in with the bitchhing and bullying instead of commenting on the game.

With regards to bresnan and finn, I support all cricketers in an england shirt and I have no real significant preference between finn and bresnan anyway. Notwithstandig this view, I certaintly wouldnt be dissuaded from supporting an england player such as bresnan because of playgroung bitchhing from an excuse for a cricket fan like yourself.

hopeforthebest is one of the best posters on the ja606 cricket forums and has been for a very long time. Get back under your stone, cretan.

It's not bullying. It's fun. You appear a bit uptight, and a little stiff to be honest

I've been put firmly in my place now JPB. I needed that and I.m sure you feel better as well.

This thread was all about banter. Taking the michael out of other countries cricket teams is part of that, and we England fans hold all the aces. Even Pakistan took a good beating in England so we have no worries about taking stick from them.
JPB has ruined this thread with his aggresive bully boy attitude?

=====================

You hammered us completely, no doubt and were considered one of the 2 best teams in the world from that moment on in my eyes.

It was at this time that Indian fans were being the chest thumpers and were claiming they were the best team in the world because they were No.1 ranked, I talked with an Anglo Indian friend of mine and told them that both England and Australia would stuff them and show that India were not a very good side at all, he disagreed. However, I still felt that South Africa and England hadn't been properly tested against each other and what with both teams having beaten Australia away and South Africa having a very good sub continental record it was unclear who was better, the 1-1 series in SA only postponed the question. England are favourites for me and I would say they are in fact the better team than SA and with home advantage I imagine England will triumph.

I would say that while England are the strongest side in world cricket, the gap between them and the other tops teams is small enough that I believe that given good luck or form one team would be able to beat the other. Contrast that with other series where the result is not really in doubt before a ball is bowled: Eng v WI, WI vs Aus.

I am apologetic about some of my earlier comments but I do think you take it a little too far at times.

@hopefor

I'm not even going to touch that one.
