What about swapping JJ for Nolan from WHU? I saw on another thread that we are looking for a DM. Why not give it a go
Why would West Ham swap Nolan for Jussi? When they can get Jussi for nothing.
Aside from the fact that Nolan is an attacking midfielder I highly doubt he would leave Big Sam unless he actively wanted to sell him. Also Jussi is a free agent, we have no influence on any deal so if we did want Nolan we would have to pay full whack, we couldnt use Jussi as part of it.
I just heard the JJ has left now anyway.
Can't wait for this fixture next season .....
Bolton past v. Bolton present
Looks like life in the Championship is kicking in. Get ready for a flood of players leaving on the cheap or for free.
You can have Nolan if you can afford the £5m West Ham paid for him, not to mention his massive wages.
Reebok Robot, Have you not realised that Westham are now a Premiership team and we are in the Championship?

Isn't your FIRST CHOICE keeper leaving on a free?
Jussi is our SECOND CHOICE keeper .....
Probably wont get to play WHU next season either because as we go up, they will pass us on their way down.
For those of you Bolt on fans who seem to think you're going to walk the Championship - you're in for a rude awakening!
It's an already tough league which will be even tougher next season.
Quite a few of you on this board seem not to have fully come to terms with your new league status, but it will hit home come the first game of the season when your team sheet is radically different to the one which started your last Premiership game at Stoke.
The team we put out first game of next season will probably be stronger than the one that played against Stoke, but only if it's true that West Ham want to sign Zat Knight.
Oh god, myhammers is back. What a tool.
Thsis makes the decision to sell Al-Habsi even more ridiculous. Jussi,s form had dipped as age caught up on him and Habsi was the better keeper
Team that faced Stoke ---------Predicted Champ Team
Bogdan ---------------------------------------Bogdan
Boyata ----------------------------------------Mears
Ream ----------------------------------------Ream
Knight ----------------------------------------NEW CB
Ricketts --------------------------------------Ricketts
Eagles ----------------------------------------LCY
M.Davies -------------------------------------M.Davies
NRC -------------------------------------------Holden
Petrov -----------------------------------------Petrov
SKD -------------------------------------------Ngog/SKD
Klasnic ---------------------------------------Sordell
Rumours that the new CB could well be Boyata on loan again, which is a step up from Knight. We will hopefully have Holden back, if not we have Pratley, Vela and maybe, just maybe Muamba. Sordell is exciting but still unknown to us, though he is proven at this level and Ngog and SKD should boss this league. We also have Chungy back, providing an offer of 7m+ doesnt come in! I think our potential team is far stronger than our team that faced stoke.
Reebok Robot, Have you not realised that Westham are now a Premiership team and we are in the Championship?

Errr, yeah.
Not sure what point you're trying to make?
I still think Jussi is better than Boggers but no matter, the cord has been cut now. I would like a good experienced backup....don't want to go through 50 games or so with kids in goal.
TRR. I think SWIE has made the classic mistake of mixing up Reebok Rules with you!
It's all about money.
We couldn't afford to keep paying Jussi a small fortune when we are in such a financial mess.
Jussi not renewing his contract saves us about 30k per week I bet. That along with the other players leaving, by my calculations (very rough guess), I would say that we save about 100k per week - 5 million quid per year.
Now that's a good start. Especially bearing in mind that we haven't really disrupted our first team squad too much.
Jussi had 3rd worse save % in the PL this season, Bogdan was slightly better..
Both had to deal with bad defenders, but I'd lost my trust in Jussi this season. Jussi and Bogdan may be similar in ability, but with Bogdan having 13 years on him, and the same age when Jussi broke in..I can see Bogdan getting to TE same standard as Jussi was in 2002-2006.
Bogdan just needed to become more commanding of his area, and he's developed that with each match this season. Needed more protection, as did Jussi, but Jussi was allowing alot of soft goals and getting beaten at his front post too much.
Bogdan will be better than Al Habsi, Ali is a good keeper, but way OTT, he makes some great saves, but he over-exaggerates normal saves a keeper should be making which makes him look better than he is. By him doing this he made alot of silly mistakes, with a fair few resulting in goals.
We've saved so much on our wage budget and only losing 1 key player. Steinsson, Jussi, Klasnic, Davis and NRC alone will have saved somewhere between 150k-200k per week. In between £7.5m and £10m on just 5 players. Making all the right moves IMO.

Your talking out your donkey (had to get the westend slang in) your a muppet your clubs a yoyo club and full of our cast offs and look like a new cast off on his way your just a very very small club in london end off
Largehat: It's reassuring that not all Bolt on fans are as intolerant of opinions with which they disagree as are you. This is meant to be a multi-club forum where people have discussions.
Invariably, there will be things written which you don't like, but that's part of the game. Like I said earlier, you are now one of the relegated Premiership clubs and you will therefore get a lot of fans coming on your board, and not everything they say will be complimentary.
Myhammers, I asked you before if Green was off, in order to have a proper football discussion with you, but you decided to ignore it.
Don't pontificate that you want a 'football' discussion, if your not willing to discuss football .....
JJ's distribution was pretty awful, but I also think that's Boggers worst trait as well. I wonder if Fred Barber is still coaching both these two, because why they feel the need to boot the ball up the pitch and not pass it to a defender gets me every time.
Jussi throughout his carrier just booted it long and its so sad to see Boggers doing the same as there is no thought behind where our next attack is going to start from; its boot it and hope for the best. Absolutely not good enough and I refuse to believe thats acting on OC's orders.
Just filter the get. I'm very much enjoying this feature at the moment. It will be a shame to turn it off come the start of the season!
It's common knowledge that Green may well be off. For some reason, our owners are unwilling to meet his wage demands. That's why we're being linked to JJ.
Personally, I don't think we should be getting someone who is not even first choice for a Championship club. At 37, he is not a long-term solution.
