Well they can't rely on fax machines anymore....nobody uses them.
The more I hear how we are edging closer to these deals the more I just think we won't sign them. Nothing would delight me more than to be proved wrong though.

You're so obsessed with people wetting the bed. Whatever you're into man.
There are good reasons why people are being doubtful about the potential signings. It's not bed wetting, it's setting reasonable expectations based around our history of being in positions like this before.
Even if you wanted to be optimistic they'll be done, I think it's right people can question why it's being left as late as it is with our first league game about to start and us not having the required strength in depth for it.
Good read from Ali G about MGW
Those within Spurs claim a call was put in to Forest ahead of the bid being officially lodged to ensure they were properly informed. Everything seemed to be in place and Gibbs-White told close friends that he was due to depart down to London for the medical.
However, he would never end up leaving Nottingham after the Midlands club and their owner Evangelos Marinakis made it clear to him and his representatives just how unhappy they were with what had happened.
Forest felt there had been an illegal approach and that what they claimed was a confidential release clause had been disclosed. Legal action was threatened and suddenly everything was up in the air as all sides looked into their options.
In the days ahead, Spurs are understood to have made a second bid for Gibbs-White, this time higher than the release clause, with Forest once again called ahead of the offer to inform them it was coming.
Gibbs-White did everything by the book with Nuno Espirito Santo's side, returning to pre-season training on time and working hard. Yet all along Tottenham were assured that the player remained keen on the move and there was a confidence that the transfer would be sealed eventually even if it took a little while.
Then suddenly out of the blue Spurs got wind that a new contract had been agreed with Forest. A video was duly released of Gibbs-White thanking "Mr Marinakis", who stood beside him on a pitch in Portugal, for a new three-year club record contract that would make him Forest's top earner.
Spurs were left flabbergasted and experienced people within the north London club admitted privately that they had never experienced a situation like it, a player being so keen to join them only to suddenly sign a new contract, with claims that the decision could not have been a financial one.
Frank and the Tottenham hierarchy were said to be disappointed at the situation and Gibbs-White is believed to have personally contacted the new Spurs head coach to apologise for how things played out, with the Dane telling him he had nothing to apologise for.

Players only need to be linked to Spurs to get injured now.
Ederson injured as well? Convenient
Liverpool getting £25m for some kid to Boro. Crazy.
Hearing Olise has a release clause at the end of next season. Pool and City interested
BREAKING: #thfc have IDENTIFIED Piero Hincapié as their favoured left sided CB! 🇪🇨👀
There’s an appreciation any deal will be very difficult and involve a large fee, but Frank and the Club see him as an ideal candidate.
@pokeefe1
But when he reads his favourite ITK breaking the news...🤢
Roma have made contact through intermediaries over a possible deal for Yves Bissouma. A deal is dependent on if Roma sell Manu Kone this summer.
Clubs in Turkey are also interested in Bissouma.

We signed or sold anyone yet?

Can't say I know anything about him but people online seem enthusiastic.
My only worry with O'Keefe announcing all this is that it declares to Palace and City that we've got more money in the bank to spend. It's like showing your hand early.
I'll be utterly gobsmacked if we sign all three. If we do, fair play to Levy. That's an all timer window.
Also, it's really strange we haven't pulled one off yet, purely to keep the protests to a minimum tomorrow.
We need Eze as a priority. Get it done, before Arsenal realise they're not gonna get Rodrygo.

Protest will be the usual two men and a dog. Complete waste of time. I am going to watch a match tomorrow. Not waste all my time shouting and walking up Tottenham High Road.
Why would we need another CB, unless he can also play LB?
How many inches closer have we moved to signing Eze today?
