All I am saying is, 2. is a bigger achievement and more impressive.

Even if we went up via the playoffs, I'm sure there will be some saying we played rubbish .....

.........If we go up via the playoffs, I'm still not classing them as league games.

I'll keep that in mind, for future reference

Playoff games are playoff games. League games are league games.

You obviously made your opinion, nuns. I'll take it with a pinch of salt considering you're currently pi$$ed.

I won't convince you to change your mind. I just disagree with you.

TRR - so how was the south of France?

CC - when Pratley scores a hat-trick in the play off final they will go towards his league goals tally

posted on 15/9/12

South of France was great thanks. Weather not great for first week but luckily second week was much better. Managed to see some now braces and towns and a trip to St Tropez to see all the rich posers in their yachts and Porsches.

You met Bricks!!!!!!

Haha. Not made that mistake for ages.

I'd have given Eagles, Spearing or even Alonso MOM today.

I think Bricks dinghy wasn't in the main port. Moored on the outskirts with a frayed rope.

Seriously though. Some of those yachts are beyond massive. They're like houses on water.

People may be unhappy with a win today,

But atleast our youth team are looking impressive.

4 games, 3 wins, 1 draw. 13 goals scored, 4 conceded. I watched them beat Blackburn 3-0 today. We have 2 or 3 very talented players coming through, hopefully we will see a few in a couple years.

Unable to watch us today, but the way i see it....we won.. it wasnt pretty. But atleast with Ngog back, we have a player with talent who links up brilliantly. We were awful whenever he didnt play last season. Didnt have much service or support last season, but we play well when he starts.

Ngog links up brilliantly! you been on the sauce like me HH?.Ngogs body language makes Berbatov look like a greyhound.Watch the team, the play is poor really that bad and the crowd who attend are not convinced.
Promotion my ar$e,if this lot get in the top eight,my ar$e is a fire engine (Bumble,1997).

Well last year...we only played well when Ngog was there. Simple. He's been written off too soon by too many. Let's remember he is only 23...Which other striker at our club was also written off when he was 23? Rhymes with Devin Kavies.

posted on 16/9/12

nuns, got to disagree with your assessment of Ngog, but you and I have already covered this off many times. He's our best forward. I don't agree with playing him alongside K Davies, but he has to start when fit, for me.

posted on 16/9/12

I don't know why you do this HH? At least wait for Ngog to actually be any good before you defend him. Saying we only played well with him in the team is so wide off the mark. He contributed barely anything on the goal front. When he starts banging goals in then tell everyone how good he is.

You can tell me if I am wrong but I think we got most of our clean sheets last season with Robbo in defence. That does not make him Ashley Cole or solely responsible as you would have us believe Ngog was for wins. What are we saying unless we get Robbo back we won't get any clean sheets?

I know you won't have a bad word said about a coyle signing and have form for accepting any old rubbish from them but to try and paint Ngog as an under supplied Anelka is nonsense.

posted on 16/9/12

Bit of an own goal of a post that Mr Tea-Sipping friend.

Clearly HH thinks Ngog has already "been any good".

Kevin Davies has "barely contributed anything on the goal front" for 9 years, it's actually possible for a forward to be a good player without goals. You can't decide that goals are everything for a forward when it suits you Petrov, it's not the real world.

No idea about your Robbo stat. All I know is, he was awful last season, find me someone - anyone - who disagrees - and it's a fair comparison to make. This is why Robinson still doesn't have a club and is training with a club in Canada of all places.

As for your last paragraph, well, that's between you and HH.

posted on 16/9/12

I can categorically deny that Robbo is training at Toronto FC. He had a trial and, with regret, was deemed surplus to requirements.

Ngog had 24 starts last season, we got 27 points from those games. We score goals and are more fluid with him in the team as our frontline has movement and the opposition naturally move deeper as they have to cover his potential pace in behind. As the opposition didnt push up so much, they naturally sat back more, meaning there was less pressure on our defence. Although we didnt keep clean sheets, we stopped conceding 2,3,4 or 5 every game, and only conceded 1, or 2, Ngog and Ricketts came in at similar times, coincidently, our performances improved.

We only got 3 clean sheets overall last season, but one thing is for sure, we conceded less goals on average without Robbo than with him. Think of how much better we were in the second half of the season...purely for having Ngog and Ricketts in ahead of Davies and Robinson.

And i agree with LH, a rather inconsistent post my dear Petrov.

Biggest problem you have Petrov, you are far too self centred to even take notice of my opinions. I have sent plenty of criticism Coyle's way, but you choose to ignore it for some self-righteous reason to continue your frequent and consistent habit of telling me what i think, rather than actually reading what i think.

Its a shame really.

I dont understand where this Ngog-Anelka comparison has come from, because he certainly isnt. For one, Anelka is 10 years older.

Either the introduction of two players, Ricketts and Ngog made a difference, or Coyle did, your choice.

LH
As you say me n you re Ngog we have done that conversation on here and face to face pal.My opinion still stands,I dont rate the fella. Now if he is the best of a bad bunch, fair enough.
Today was sterile, boring, actually really boring,I felt like I was watching a friendly to be honest.
Coyle where do we start? this team is a shambles tactically on the ball and off it.
Really not happy with the skill levels at all, finish top ten maybe.

Either way, literally less than 5 negative comments attributed to Ngog on Twitter when you search his name, well over 100 which said: "good", "great", "superb" "played well" "class" "having a stormer" "excellent" Certainly looks like bwfc fans who use twitter were happy enough with him, and think hes good!
