frustrating. it wouldnt be spurs without being frustrating. but overall look at where we were when he came and where we are now
he has been very good for us
Swap you for PHW
No thanks
who's phw...!?
anyway....like chron says...we often over past 3/4 yrs...only been a couple of BIG players away from summat really special...but on the whole...he's done fantastic....
i do feel thou that come jan...if we still in the mix....the BIG gamble has to finally be taken.
Thats the frustrating thing isn't it - we feel like we are just a few players away from somthing special - just dont see Levy taking that gamble anytime soon - he would have done it bu now surely...
We have got a lot of money through the door since then, mostly for squad players, which sadly has not been reinvested by buying top quality players that we needed to push on.
-----------
Levy in a nutshell.
My heart wilted when AVB didnt get Willian from the Modric lucre. Gutted in fact cos it showed business as usual rather than a new term with new rules.
Admire Levy as a bean counter tho. Our NEW STADIUM will be superb.

The positives are that we have consistantly challenged the top 4 for a number of years now. The only thing we were consistant of in previous yrs were midtable
finishes. Also we are a great run club with amazing training facilities and an exciting new ground in the pipeline. That being said levy is still one of the most fustrating chairmans to have at times because he seems to see things differently to everybody. We all know we have needed a top class striker to push us up a level for donkeys years but levy has failed transfer window after window to get us that. We all know he is the master of selling our top players and not replacing them properly ie berbz and keane. Now with the modric and moutinho situation. To me it just goes round and round in circles with us and we always end up disappointed every transfer window. Saying that we have sjgned some excellent players this window ie dembele, vertonghen and lloris.
He bout siggy and dempsey who might be on a combined wage of £100,000.
-----
no way.
i would guess that they are both on about 35-40k max !!
spurs dont pay wages as high as some people think.
also we signed siggy early and i think levy expected him to have done a lot better than he has.
"we feel like we are just a few players away from somthing special"
Spurs have been in the consolidation phase since BMJ almost got a CL place. The club has been punching well above its financial weight (which is a very good sign) . A final leap (of faith/money from ENIC ?? ) IMHO is all that is missing.

shld that not be camp levy....
sounds like it shld be the new/current presidents hide away.....
tbf...he does look a bit camp....
RDBD said he was in both camps
YES he is doing well on a 'tight' budget he is buying players for £9m (siggy) and £6m (dempsey)
but he could've put the £9m & £6m together and bought a decent FIRST TEAM player
---------------------------------
This is spot on
He does actually spend a lot, just on lots of players. We seem to be afraid to sign a superstar. (Not remy though!)
overall he is one of the best chairmen around. He is ambitious. When he signed that deal with real madrid to be a partner club, I think people missed the point - he wants us one day to be a superclub, the biggest, so deals with madrid etc. allow us to see how this is done. Plus hasn't he got a partnership in every continent now? along with the new stadium, and ensuring we live within our means, he is the king. He is building for the future.
BUT.... we just want ONE superstar signing!
You can't sell modders and VDV and not replace with equal quality (and expect to do as well)

I`m in with Camp Levy. Not metaphorically mind you. This is beginning to sound like A Carry On Film.
All joking apart, no way do I want Levy to spend Spurs into debt. We are doing fine, Would you have sanctioned a bid for Torres for £50 million when he wanted to leave Liverpool? It would have been financial suicide. I am not one for spending big on players just on their reputations. I would sooner spend little ala Wigan and unearth the odd gem. Spurs are never going to compete with the financial muscle of Chelsea, Man City and United under footballs current structure, so cannot see any reason to change our spending patterns in the hope of perhaps getting a big money player, who may like Torres turn out ro be a complete damp squid. How many of the really expensive players around the world have turned into absolute world beaters. Not many.
