I agree with some of what you say what you say - Levy has not reacted to circumstances and taken an opportunity IMO, he has stuck to his guns and run spurs in the same way with strict financial control. Which is great, but we have missed a rare window of having CL money I think by lack of investment. However, like Sandy I feel that we have been wise not to throw money at big signings, but I cant help feeling that a few extra million at the right time would have secured the right type of player to keep us right up there (not Saha or Nelson etc).
I was not going to mention the whole manager situation as that is another matter entirely - but he has taken a massive gamble on first sacking Harry and secondly on bringing in AVB. I am amazed that he did so, especially after having his fingers burnt by the Jol and Ramos affair. I can see the logic is his doing so, but logic does not always work in football

I get the feeling expecially with Moutinho that it was all for show and that he didn't really want to spend in excess of 20million and probably close to 100k a week on wages when he could have got Dempsey and Siggy and Demeble almost the same amount

It hit me when he had "bid" 32 million for Aguero then somehow when we look at Remy we can't bid enough
I know we have a stadium, but he must look at Arsenal and seen how they've failed since they've moved to the Emirshites
As much as I want to give AVB a chance I still feel sick with disappointment that Levy did this..
Summed up the whole situation for me. I am quite willing to give AVB a chance and I certainly dont think he is clueless, but do I feel that for all the clever tactics and modern formations etc, will finish higher than Harry or that we we will play more attractive football? Sorry but probably not...

Verty, Dembele and Adey will be great this season IF AVB plays the right formation.
He hasn't got Falcao, Hulk, Moutinho with us! he's got players of a lesser quality
"Harry Redknapp who, like him or not, became the most successful spurs boss since Bill Nicholson in terms of win ratio."
But who, unlike St Nicholson, did not love the club 150% , and could not keep his talking orifice shut at the key moments. And that is without considering the actual football.
BMJ was unfairly treated, and in his heart I think Levy acknowledges this. Redknapp, final third PL run-ins + talking incontinence, was the architect of his own downfall.
You disrespect BMJ by making the comparison.
Spurs are never going to compete with the financial muscle of Chelsea, Man City and United under footballs current structure, so cannot see any reason to change our spending patterns in the hope of perhaps getting a big money player, who may like Torres turn out ro be a complete damp squid. How many of the really expensive players around the world have turned into absolute world beaters. Not many.
-----------------
Its true, we cant compete toe to toe right now, but at this time of the clubs development the point of CL qualification is to get the cash rather than the glory- Levy chould take a leaf out of Wengers book, PL financial pragmatism.
I think we are 1-2 new strikers rather than a new manager away to progress because 'Buy cheap, buy twice' as my aunt used to say.

oh...i forgot about ade...he needs to buck his fackin' ideas up....
did have to much time to shine last sat...
but the ball was knocked upto him one time...and he mistimed his jump so badly...
he missed the facking ball altogether...i was going fackin' mad at him.....
Anyone watched Moneyball with Brad Pitt?
I know it's the wrong sport but when you watch the transfer scene when he's calling around for players it makes you think if when they say is happening for show happens in football to fool the fans
I wasn't fooled, Aguero was too good for us even back then! it was to keep the fans happy whilst he looked at lesser targets

this is gr8 stuff lads....this it what make 606 so good....
Berbatov in his prime with us, was easily the best player on the eye to watch, upfront with Keane, Lennon on the wing. We were amazing to watch
Jols relationship with us in the South Stand was immense, I miss those days
