You're misreading my intent. I never once said Norwich would be 'easy', just that we should be confident because of how many wins we've picked up this season even when playing badly.

--------------

but at some point that is going to stop happening.

we are top of the league, granted, but city and chelsea have struggled to pick up wins recently.
had they been on form we wouldnt have been top.

weve already lost two games this season compared to city's 0 because we cant defend.

its all fine saying weve come back, but none of the comebacks have been amazing results against great teams.

we struggled against a liverpool team down to 10 men, and if we hadnt of beaten chelsea with 9 then there would have been an issue.

if we continue to give teams a head start, then it is going to come back to bite us in the ass.

spurs have been our main test all things considering this season (bearing in mind they kept 11 men on the pitch) and we lost.

its all fine saying we should have gotten something out of the game, but the fact is we didnt because we played the wrong team and gave ourselves too much to do.

Top of the league or not, both of them shouldn't start any game.

That's silly though Dunc! You can't play the 'IF' game because I could just as easily say 'IF' we played better against Everton and Spurs we'd be 8 points ahead.

This isn't a coincidence. We, as Chelsea and City have played badly because most of these squads played a lot of football in the summer whereas the lesser teams we've played are much fresher and are having a go at us.

As for the 2 losses, sometime ago I was told that a loss isn't so bad compared to a draw because 1 win and 1 loss gets more points than 2 draws and no losses.

We are top of the league and deserve to be. So we came back from losing positions and played badly in games. That's how you win a league title!

City this season have come back from bad positions and bad performances against Fulham, West Brom, Spurs etc.

The sooner people recognise funrobs is an idiot the sooner silly repititive arguments end.

Only idiots underestimates the opposition. Fergie did so last year and we paid the price and he promised not to do so. We were suppose to beat wigan. We were suppose to beat everton. We were supposed to beat athletico, supposed to beat spurs. In all these instances we did not put the best we had out and lost.

It is disturbing that our manager and this idiot think alike.

I know, disturbing that I think like the greatest manager that ever lived.

Are you actually a United supporter? Because all you ever do is criticise the team.

As you don't seem to have access to a dictionary, I shall give you the exact definition of what a supporter is..

supporter
Use Supporter in a sentence
sup·port·er   [suh-pawr-ter, -pohr-] Show IPA
noun
1.
a person or thing that supports.
2.
an adherent, follower, backer, or advocate.

You on the other hand just spend all your time on here doing the opposite.

We are winning games. That's all the manager and the team owe you so stop coming on here and acting like someone out there is doing you a disservice and cheating you out of some kind of entitlement.

i disagree mate there.

for me the manager and the team owe the fans a performance every game for 90 mins.

supporters pay a lot of money to watch utd, and they deserve to see exciting attacking football for their money.

not an absolutely shocking hour - 70 mins, then a decent 20 or so.

Even for you Rob, this level of wumming is priceless.

I actually never thought I'd consider Funrob to be a wum, but lately I'm starting to reconsider. It's like any form of criticism against the club and we have to get electrocuted for it.

Dunc

But then you're doing a disservice to the opposition. We can't dictate when and how we win games. Only that we do so.
Villa were the home team and played well. We were ultimately the better team because we won. I'm sure Norwich will have a go at us and look competitive but again, i'm sure when the dust settles we'll have 3 more points because we have been doing it all season.

No team can play exciting attacking football for the whole game and to be honest, our most exciting, attacking football comes when we're losing games. I've watched many United games where we've gone a goal up early and just sat back and passed the ball around.

I know what i'd prefer to see.

People on here are far too quick to see the bad in United rather than the good in the opposition.

I think Rob behind his computer screen must be laughing away to glory at how he has managed to wum so many posters at a time. Not surprising he wants us to keep Giggs and Scholes till they are 50.

Or are we wumming Rob?

Our most exciting, attacking football comes when we are losing games
------------------------------------
So now you suggest we deliberately go 2 goals behind every game to produce exciting football.

Of course you're allowed to criticise the club. But every week people slating Giggs and Scholes is getting boring. They are still here, we're still winning games.

People seem to be getting spoilt. Not only do they want to win games, but now these games have to be won with style too.

That will come with time but for now we should just be happy to be top of both our league and the CL one.

Don't you get bored of the same routine every week?

'Giggs and Scholes are going to start *groan*, we're gonna lose'

We then win.

'Yeah, we won at Chelsea for the first time in 10 years but we should have played better'.

Etc etc etc.

No, but just responding to Dunc saying that the 'paying supporter' deserves to see exciting, attacking football.

I was saying that we have seen that.

I love how i'm called a WUM just because I get behind 2 United players.

This site attracts the worst kind of United 'supporters'.

I bet if you met them on the street you'd be the first to ask for their autographs and want pictures with them and would never admit to wanting them to retire.

Sometimes I do!

But only for the really moronic.

I'll gladly take all the criticism in the world for getting behind two players like Scholes and Giggs.

Of course Duncan is correct. The supporters pay their hard earned money to watch United. Will the club accept if they decided to pay just half the amount for a ST? Then why should we get to watch 2 40 year olds plodding out there when its obvious that they aren't good enough as they were earlier.

---------

yeah we see it for 20 mins a game, up until that point the players are putting in a half assed effort which is why we find our selves behind.

its nothing to do with doing other teams a disservice, these are international players on a great deal of money, yet they cant muster a chance against a very inexperienced villa team until god knows how far into a a game??

Do you go to the cinema and sit there the whole time moaning about the choice of an actor or actress in a role?
**

what you on about.. some actors give terrible performances and are rightly slated for it.
