Grand. well you come across as a an adult with learning difficulties so thought you might need some help
we were on the front foot all game today so to say he plays negative is just complete nonsense
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
oh right and today is of course the only game we have ever played under AVB
I suggest you learn to read and accurately digest what you are reading before you comment
Grand. well you come across as a an adult with learning difficulties so thought you might need some help

coming from a total hypocrite I will take that as a compliment
where have i been a hypocrite you old fool
your just a grumpy old man who cant even enjoy his team winning and has to look for faults where there are none
time to get you booked into a home me thinks
we were on the front foot all game today so to say he plays negative is just complete nonsense
--------------------------------------------------------------------
please show me where I said that ?
I think he bases most of his football on not losing rather than winning
that = negative to me
did you just not say that 5 mins ago
going senile mate
where have i been a hypocrite you old fool
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and I quote "the day I have to filter a spurs fan I will leave this board"
Thats what makes you a hypocrite sunshine believe it or not some of us remember things and dont just reflect on the last two hours
Or are you telling me you never said that ?
Are you also telling me that a couple of days after that you never filtered a spurs fan ?
But you are still here ?
That sunshine makes you a hypocrite and full of BS.
Enough said me thinks, sadly sunshine facts never lie
that = negative to me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
as I said you obviously have trouble digesting what you read dont you ?
If I wanted to call him negative I would have said something like " I do not like his negative style of football" Its saves people having to read between the lines then you see
Not only that but I do allow for people like yourselves on here who read and interpret how they like thats why I use such a direct style of posting.
Its not rocket science sunshine
any manager trying not to lose games would end up with loads of draws
only times we have played defensively is when winning games and it cost us through making mistakes and the players panicing.. you can see that the players have worked hard on that not to give the ball away so often
I thought his substitutions were spot on today. Dempsey was great and did more good things in 20 mins than Defoe in 70 mins.
Lennon has started every game along with Sandro.. To avoid burnout due to the type of player he is and the role he serves he needs to be subbed every once in a while.
It used to annoy the hell out of me seeing the likes of Kranjcar, Pav and co rotting on the bench, only to be brought brought on in vein & deseprationg by Redknapp on 86th minute with the game already out of reach on so many occasions.
We need to, and i think we do, have a squad which is capable of rotating not on just a game by game basis, but during games.
im talking football facts
i dont really look at Chicken as a Tottenham fan and proof of that is his absence when we win which even you cannot deny
where have i been a hypocrite you old fool
--------------------------------------------------------------------
no comment to my reply I notice.
Oh I forgot you only answer what you wnat to dont you facts are so inconvenient to you
any manager trying not to lose games would end up with loads of draws
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
that goes to sum up your football knowledge, or lack of it, in one sentence.
you can see that the players have worked hard on that not to give the ball away so often
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really
That of course proves you are not only half blind when reading
i dont really look at Chicken as a Tottenham fan
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
oh right
you could not make it up
I think he bases most of his football on not losing rather than winning
prehaps you can tell me what that comment means then as to 99% of people it reads that you think he is a negative thinking manager ..
i dont really look at Chicken as a Tottenham fan
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
hold on while I move those goalposts to suit my own ends
Grand.. you really are a boring idiot who does not enjoy the team winning
we played well today and have defended really well again
your clueless about football and i guess your a typical armchair moaner
prehaps you can tell me what that comment means then as to 99% of people it reads that you think he is a negative thinking manager ..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
me explain something to you !!!!!!!!
OMG me explain something to a man who can actually decide who is and who is not a Spurs fan !!!!!!
God forbid that I would be so presumptuous
I dotn need to explain, you have deciphered it, digested it, insulted me because of it and then asked for it to be explained
Jesus you must be a joy to live with, 2 days after a row do you ask what she meant when she said "how are you doing" just before the row started
Grand explain what your comment means as you say it does not mean hes negative
come on fool.. lets hear your version of what you mean
I was hoping you could see into the future
I appreciate your point of view, and accept that we are more negative these days.. the formation we began the season with (although largely determined by Ade's lack of fitness) was focused on defending.
With regards to comparisons with his former mentor Mourinho.. he was a large part of the reason Chelsea were deemed boring. Ruthless efficiency is his hallmark, and no doubt why many Real fans have never taken to him.
The "Spurs way" is to play attacking, free flowing football.. given that you've drawn comparisons to make your point i'll do the same. Our previous manager was blessed with the talents of Modric, but more pointedly, Rafael van der Vaart. VDV's style suited us to a 't' - cavalier and full of imagination going forwards but lacking in solidity. We have not replaced our flair player/s and until we do any manager would struggle to replicate our style of play from last season.
Only with the arrival of Parker and emergence of Sandro have we seen anything resembling a backbone in midfield.. something Palacios briefly provided, and Zokora never could. For me it's all about balance.
Having a defensive minded manager has tempered - to some extent - our tendency to concede games in a soft manner. Admittedly this has still happened on occasion this season but we're seeing it less and less often. I know you're going to point to the last 10 minutes stat, but that is nothing new to Spurs.
Of course whether it will continue - whether we lapse back into being a "soft touch" - or AVB's coaching methods will remedy the issue - is a matter of opinion for now. In my opinion he has demonstrated an ability to learn from his mistakes and improve the side. Our recent form is a good indicator of this.
"Like for like" I can't agree on - you can't get much different in the world of football management than Harry and AVB. An outspoken, old-fashioned fan of the game with the focus on motivation and family men or a detail obsessed youngster full of ambition.
The simple fact that Harry rarely spent any time on the training ground whilst AVB famously slept at it is as clear a distinction as they come.
Going forwards I think that AVB's approach - namely his dedication to the finer details of the game - will reap benefits, especially considering the wonderful facilities at hand. As much as young players need to be motivated I think that a dedicated coach with a clear idea of how he wants the game to be played is far more beneficial to the club than someone who couldn't care less about things like formations.
Let's face it - we can both provide facts to illustrate our opinion but with half a season gone none of them will prove a thing.
Agree to disagree for now?
your clueless about football and i guess your a typical armchair moaner
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know its such a shame that I dont have the ability to say who is and who is not a supporter over the internet I really must try harder
and let me see I am that boring that you chose to come and comment on my article and ask me questions ?
Do you approach boring, clueless people in the pub for a convo as well ?
Grand.. avoiding answering are you, you know it only means one thing
sorry AVB has ruined your new yr by winning
prehaps you and chicken can console eachother
I've also doubted whether Chicken is a Spurs fan.
Not because of his opinions but because of the amount of time and energy he puts into winding up Spurs fans.. he's got issues beyond football that we take the brunt of.
Bales
agree 100% he really gets angry and trys to make everything about him and being a victim
funny how hes not been around much since or form has changed
i really think he has big issues with his personality and how the likes of Grand defend him is laughable
Well said Mr Bale's, i'm in total agreement re your take on our prospects under AVB
