You could argue every player we signed in the Emirates Top 4 era failed to improve us. When those players left...
You just have an irrational hatred for Auba, Castor. I think you just liked getting attention when you started criticising him, so kept it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Laca, Xhaka, Auba, Pepe. We have spent a fortune on these players who have all been part of the regression
Please stop the Titler/Pep comparisons ffs there aren’t any
I am not comparing Pep and Arteta's quality of coaching. But what Arteta has learned from Pep is his attitude and how he conducts himself. The difference is of course players automatically respect Pep's arrogance because of his past achievements.
One thing you can't deny about Arteta/Pep is they broke the mold of either Tracksuit or Suit Managers
ASOS managers the pair of them

But why is auba the one you have a hard on for?
Xhaka lost possession 12 times alone vs Southampton just in the first half. He was the worst player by a mile yesterday and people still defend him.
Hard for us to progress with such an average player central to our team.
Ask Ian Wright whether he preferred playing with Paul Davis behind him, or David Hillier, and there’s only ever going to be one answer.
Let’s be honest here, Alexis and Ozil briefly gave the side a bit of a lift, and sometimes made us fun and exciting to watch, but we’ve been kinda crap overall since Cesc left.
It’s not a coincidence.
Were we any good yesterday? I was only able to watch highlights sadly

We were just awful first half. Thankfully Southampton weren't very comfortable with their strategy and so every time we beat their press they were wide open at the back. We took our chances and a 2-0 lead. In the second we were better partly because I think Arteta made two adjustments. First he pushed up Xhaka ahead of Partey so he could play DM. And secondly Arteta pushed us up as a team so Southampton couldn't press us so well. Southampton then played on the counter and Ramsdale still had a lot of shots to save but at least we slightly more comfortable because they couldn't create momentum like Everton.
The first 20 min I thought we would lose concede a goal soon. With our goal we were quite comfortable after. Second half we played good footy and had them under control.
Our best player was Odegaard together with Ramsdale and Saka and I thought Laca had good moments upfront. Good team performance all around. Partey looked improved. Xhaka still better than him.
West Ham Wednesday evening will be tough, really need to win it.

Yawn
West ham have a day less to prepare and are travelling to Burnley and back that and being at home gives us the advantage.
With potentially a 4pt gap, only a win will do
Auba dropped because he got a new tattoo? He’s been disciplined for that before, so can’t be surprised if this is true.
Would be a complete ‘f*** you’ gesture to Arteta.
With January so close, looks like he’s angling to leave.
Oh. Just seen Ornstein’s tweet.
Flaky.
Should Arteta be saying it's disciplinary issue again?
Seems to be more support for him this time than before/after the NLD last season

It's the second time Auba feck up so that can explain the support
How did we play? Still haven't seen the game
Trouble is, fans want it both ways. When we think something is going on behind the scenes we demand clarity. But when something actually happens, as has now with Aubameyang, I’d personally prefer the manager to remain tight lipped about it and deal with it in private.

Under the cosh for 20mins then broke their press and scored with a great goal, were in charge from there on, shame we didn't win by more
