I mean Arteta is almost always gonna have to sign off. I think this would be the first signing of his tenure that I just wouldn't see any logic behind it.

Gk coach made a bad call and Arteta probably didn't care cos he cost so little. Can see why it happened.

Madueke makes totally no sense

Only one: Madueke can play either wing so becomes defacto backup to both wings.

Arsenal can then sell before buying. So for example sell Martinelli and do their best to sign Rodrygo.

Martinelli counts as homegrown and so does Madueke.

Nah. I don't like him as a signing. But there is some logic in the madness.

even DJ's fat MAWRM could replace those 2 bawrm dossers . not a £50m binmuncher from Chelsea ffs

Albeit only a loan, Sterling made absolutely no sense. Neto, considering he was cup tied in the competition he was most likely to play, was another head scratcher. But again only a loan. And that was just last summer.

From purely a squad point of view, Madueke makes a lot of sense in reality. Covers both wings, is young, English. Different to what we have. Obviously £50m is a lot for back up, and you would question why he would come here and jeopardise his World Cup chances. Plus he is ex-Spurs, so a caaaant.

He isn't, though, counted as Homegrown.

Ideal depth chart:

Havertz (Gyokeres/Sesko)
Saka (Madueke)
Rodrygo (Eze)
Odegaard (Nwaneri)

Sell: Martinelli, Trossard, Nelson.

You can't let Martinelli and Trossard go alongside jorginho and Partey going.

Way too much change

Might as well go for Rashford if your going to sign Madueke

Like I have said, whenever we are linked to a Chelsea player, consider it done.

That front line only has one change! In fact the first team would only have two changes.

Rice (Merino)
Zubimendi (Norgaard)

White (Timber)
Saliba (Mosquera)
Gabriel (Kiwior)
MLS (Calafiori)

Raya (Kepa)

Madueke does qualify as homegrown for premier league purposes. And so opens Martinelli's exit.

posted on 5/7/25

No he doesn't, otherwise Chelsea would have had him in their homegrown quota:

I just went from the AI thing that said he is homegrown for premier league and not for european.

But I'll take your word for it. So that makes Eze for Trossard more likely then?
