I don't think its about won anything. Just that players need to involved and playing and Vieira hasn't shown anything great on loan. Similar issue with Sambi and Nelson.

Just admit we are sheet at selling players for big money

So Castor thought Martinelli is better. We will see how they compare next season if City to do sign him.

I said he isn't no huge upgrade on Martinelli

We sell our academy players for good money, because they're on relatively low wages

The market decides what players are worth not how we sell them. If the players can't prove it on the pitch why would anyone buy them?

how will they do home and away?

The fans need to protest, that is one of the most difficult fixtures of Barca, them going to Miami is like being at home, terrible

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

One team sacrifices their home game (with compensation). Happens all the time in the NFL.

we are going down a slippery slope

If you look at NFL overseas games, favourites tend to suffer more with the extra travelling, break of routines etc.

NFL is an horrendous sport. The last thing football should aspire to be.

Do the match going fans get compensated for not being able to see probably the standout fixture in their season?

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

also the businesses around will lose money for that fixture

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Their average attendance is around 19k. Gonna get 65k in Miami. They won't be losing sleep over match goers or local businesses.

Thats the thing. Teams in the NFL with a huge support rightly hate it because they lose the home game. But all have to do it cyclically.

Hate seeing things like this becoming more and more frequent

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Can definitely see a team like Bournemouth trying to "host" one of their home games against the likes of United or Liverpool in the US. Instead of 11k they could get 80-100k.
Think English clubs would have more resistance than Spanish ones though.

Yeah with an influx of American owners it makes sense that someone will try it eventually, but yeah more opposition here. Whoever tries it first will either have to be brave or stupid.

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

I don't think the Premier League will because it clearly affects the integrity of the competition. Unless the owners want the Premier League to become a world league. Which I doubt because most of the owners have multiple clubs in different countries/leagues.

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Yeah, I can't see owners wanting to make more money.

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

The extra money they make they will eventually lose devaluing their MLS club.

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Owners will want it for sure, the club is a brand to most and the larger the reach of that brand the more money they make and the more successful the brand can continue to be.

I'm sure they're just waiting for the first one to blink, cos they know the backlash will be Super League-esque.

How will it devalue an MLS club?
